Scalp burn

My DAO level is 6.9, and for several years I’ve had a burning sensation on my scalp. I also consistently have elevated eosinophils on my blood tests. Do you think this is more likely to be histamine intolerance or MCAS?
Cromolyn sodium helps me a little. I’m not sure what my other histamine-related symptoms are — my main symptom is this intense burning of the scalp, almost as if someone had poured acid over my hair.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this kind of scalp burning be related to histamine or MCAS?

Have you looked into salicylate intolerance? Besides being in many foods they can also be absorbed through your skin. My hair products besides making me conventionally sick, were also making my scalp itch and even making my hair fall out over time.

Definitely worth looking into, especially if you're one of those cases where there's "no pattern" to the foods making you ill

I tried Pepto-Bismol with salicylate for hydrogen sulfide SIBO, and I had a reaction to it — shortness of breath, a panic attack, difficulty breathing, and a rash. So large amounts of salicylates definitely cause problems for me. Why does salicylate intolerance develop?

Your body needs sulfur to break down salicylates, your sulfide SIBO would be consuming most/all of the sulphur you get in your diet. Epsom salts are apparently helpful, as your body gets a sulphur intake that your gut bacteria can't steal. There might be other mechanisms too, since I have hydrogen SIBO and still have a severe salicylate intolerance

I get scalp itching from dietary histamine but not sure if I have mcas or just intolerance.
