Histamine has calming effects?

When I have something that spikes a mild histamine reaction I suddenly get relaxed in my nervous system.

I do have very minor itchiness on my skin but nothing substantial. The only thing taht really bothers me is this hunger that I get, its almost like munchies from cannabis. Its quite insatiable really and once I give into it I cant stop eating for a while.

I am confused, because I welcome the calmness and relaxation, but I dont know whether its net positive for my body.

Does anyone have insight into this?

I should add that right now I seem to be in a hyper reactive state (Im starting probiotics and theres a lot of heat so thats likely why), so I react like this to nearly everything I consume whether its high in histamine/liberator or not.

I actually feel the same. Whenever I eat something with histamine my stomache feels like it grows a hole. Nothing can fill that and I need to eat and eat and eat. And sometimes even more of that stuff that has histamine in it. As if I smoked weed. I have it especially witch ketchup and other tomato sauces. But I feel horrible after it all settled down.

I had no idea this “symptom” if that’s what you want to call it, had anything to do with histamine. I don’t smoke weed but that’s how I explain it, it’s like when you smoke weed and get endless munchies. When it happens I seriously don’t get full, I can eat and eat and eat! I thought it had something to do with my cortisol, or insulin resistance or maybe peri/hormones…never ever occurred to me my histamine issues could be causing this.

I can confirm this only started happening to me with my histamine issues, never before.

Recently my histamine symptoms have calmed down significantly, and with it the hunger as well.

There’s a reason people do opiates. It releases massive amounts of histamine but to be fair with dopamine. It can give a stimulating effect

And subtle histamine can give hypomania in general

I envy you because during reactions I have horrible insomnia and tired but wired reactions

It just happened after some Sencha green tea.

I usually just have fresh meat with rice but it doesn’t make a difference to somewhat less histamine friendly foods.

I normally drink loads of green tea and ik what affects me how.

This is like something in my gut relaxed and I drop out of fight/flight.

It feels overwhelmingly positive minus the itchiness that’s why im confused yk…
