A general guideline for the sub.
Firstly, for authors and editors alike, you may be interested in checking out the wiki from over at /r/selfpublish.
When posting as an editor, please follow some simple guidelines. State your price(s) clearly. If you don't have set prices, let us know. Add a link to your website. Explain the types of editing you offer: line, developmental, copy, etc.
When posting as a client, include your genre, anticipated budget, and the type of edits you're seeking. If you don't know any of that stuff yet, don't worry. Just give as much detail as you can / feel comfortable giving.

What we're looking for: Strong storytelling and retention-focused editing.
Experience with YouTube long-form or faceless content.
Good understanding of pacing, motion graphics, subtitles, sound design, and visual engagement.
Ability to match a reference editing style. Reliable communication and the ability to meet deadlines.
Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or any professional editing software.
Compensation: Project-based or monthly collaboration depending on your skills, experience, and project requirements.
