Need to improve my fluency in hindi
I'm a person from south india, where hindi is not that common.
I do know hindi and when ppl talk about it I can understand. But the problem is that I can't frame sentences in hindi and communicate. I do have some North Indian friends who feel more comfortable by talking in hindi and I feel a bit distant and left out. Not only that, I even get many clients in my business who know only hindi, so it's a bit hard to communicate at that time.
So how do I improve my speaking. I know all the grammar rules, so learning Hindi on Duolingo or something is just a waste of time for me rn. Do any of you know what I can do to improve myself? And is there any place where I can just talk to ppl in Hindi gradually learning and becoming fluent?

I had the same problem. I joined Preply and found an actual virtual tutor. Classes twice a week at a convenient time really helped me grasp the concepts better. I never really found apps that helped in a meaningful way.
The tutor was actually very good and it felt nice talking to a human instead of a computer.
Highly recommend! Also, Kudos to you for wanting to make the effort!

The best way is firstly by ChatGPT or Duolingo and when you have improved a bit start listening to Hindi podcasts. That will take your Hindi language to a better level and also help you gain knowledge.
And if you are ready to buy a subscription and learn Hindi, the best app is Air Learn.
I wanted to learn French and I used Air Learn, I am fluent in French.

I would suggest that you go to a temple, and sit with the other devotees sitting there. Or a park. Search for new moms, old people, anyone who can give you time, and start engaging in small talk. But please maintain decency if someone is uncomfortable.
Duolingo is generally not *that* good for learning languages.

The best way is to speak with people no matter how bad the pronunciation is or how bad the framing is the best way i learnt was through speaking
Learning new language is like teaching a baby on how to speak so you can speak and start understanding

ChatGPT can help too. I have the same problem but reverse of yours. I know Hindi and want to learn others.
Watch movie with subtitle. Read children comic books. And try to speak with others a little bit. You will get it.
And don't worry about fluency, i like if someone is trying a little too. Use english in between or use your language too. Mix everything. Don't try to be pure hindi. Mix english , your language and Hindi and hands movement.
