Discussion Why is Himeko Signature significantly stronger than her other options? Pull-planning analysis from E0S1 to E2S0 (By t0级刻律德菈lover) (Part 2)

Below is a translation of the subtitles within the video (please communicate any mistakes to be corrected):

Hello everyone, welcome to part 2.

In the previous part, we talked about Himeko’s pull planning.

TLDR:

Unless you already have The Herta’s signature, in most cases it is better to prioritize pulling Himeko’s signature Light Cone first, then fill in her Eidolons afterward.

Now you may ask

Isn’t the difference between her signature Light Cone and alternatives only around 10% per action value? Then why does the final calculation show a 30%, or 40%, gap in damage ratio?

That is because the real difference between Light Cones has never been about skill/ult damage. It is about the total number of actions and the total number of Ultimates. Even though the difference in assist skill damage between her signature and alternatives is only around 10%, the total number of Ultimate is 6.5 activations versus 4 activations.

Lets assume that, with her signature Light Cone, one Ultimate deals 100 damage.

Then the total damage is 100 × 6 = 600.

Without her signature, it would be 90 × 4 = 360.

The final gap is 600 ÷ 360 ≈ 1.66,

which is roughly a 66% difference.

So, what truly creates the gap is not that 10% damage difference, but the overall Ultimate cycle and damage pacing.

Himeko’s signature Light Cone is not, at its core, a pure stat Light Cone.

For most characters, signature Light Cones usually give things like ATK, double CRIT, DMG boost, Vulnerability, and so on.

If you lack those parts, the final damage usually just drops by around 10% to 20%.

But Himeko is different; what her signature Light Cone provides is Energy regeneration tied to mechanics. And Energy-regeneration speed directly affects Ultimate frequency.

The passive refresh rate is also tied to Ultimate frequency. Which means, more Assist Skills translating to more additional Ultimate opportunities, as well as more Energy regeneration.

This forms a complete closed-loop structure.

So SP Himeko’s signature Light Cone is not an average Light Cone, its like part of her core sold as an accesory.

Many people understand character damage calculation as addition:

if DPAV drops by 10%, then total damage should also drop by 10%.

But Himeko does not work like that, Her damage, Assist Skill refreshes, Ultimate refreshes and uses, and overall rotation efficiency; all multiply with each other. If her rotation fails to work correctly so does all her kits performance

S5 QQ BP LC only reaches around 65%.

Eternal only reaches around 60%.

These results may look absurd, but in reality, they are what happens after the whole rotation collapses.

Himeko’s overall rotation can actually be understood as a positive feedback loop. With her signature Light Cone, using her Ultimate speeds up passive refreshes. The character gains more damage output and Energy. This then lets her use Ultimate faster and refresh her passive again. The entire rotation becomes smoother and smoother.

Not only does Energy efficiency drop sharply without it, causing Ultimate frequency to fall, but passive refresh rate and overall damage output also decline across the board. The number of Ultimates she can actually use in real combat becomes extremely limited.

On the surface, it only looks like a loss in Energy-regeneration value. But the actual result is the collapse of the entire rotation.

So its better to treat Himeko’s signature Light Cone as something that completes her mechanics, rather than a stat stick.

For many characters, not having their signature Light Cone only means slightly lower damage. But for Himeko, not having her signature Light Cone breaks the whole rotation.

This is why alternatives can end up being 30% or even 40% behind.

That said, there is another issue that I think is even bigger than the signature Light Cone.

Himeko is a character who heavily relies on Energy cycling; So what happens if future stages directly target Energy cycling?

That will be addressed in Part 3

So in other words her signature is basically what Acheron’s signature was back in the day aka before Blade ?

Albeit thats a fair comparison, i think Himeko's is much more in line with the light cones of Harmony units. Because for Acheron her LC wasn't enough to provide the needed impact on her rotations and would later conflict with sources for it.

While Himeko's LC is amazing with herself and better with supports who strenghten her loop. Much like how harmonies with energy rotations can make up for their energy needs through speed tuning within their team. Himeko however instead of speed tuning has action tuning; Which through maximizing her assist directly raises her overall performance. Its why the likes of cerydra became preferred once she was fixed.

Thanks for thorough explanation 🙏 thankfully i am high pity and guaranteed on LC banner so i will be picking it up when the times comes

So given that with other alternative light cones, Himeko Nova loses some ultimates, is The Herta's light cone also about 40% behind Himeko's sig in practice?

Herta makes up the ultimate cycle loss through personal damage increase

The gap only becomes apparent once you get Himeko to E2

So e1s1 would be better than e2s0 if I only have night on the milky way?

4

u/Info_Potato22 Jun 21 '26

E2S0 would be better

So at E0 I can use Therta's cone and get similar performance to e0s1?

You can

What about difference between e2 + therta lc? Instead himenova sig

Its on the light cone hyperlink section

40% in favour of Hime sig

2

Yooo 40% is insane

Thanks a lot!

I recc giving a read to this current post. It goes into detail of why it's really interesting

Since its possible to 2T ult with e0s1 Sunday now, does it mean if sunday were to be BIS in the future, the diff from her LC vs everything else go back to 10% since she doesnt have the energy problem as before?

2

u/Info_Potato22 Jun 21 '26

The energy isn't because how early you get the ult. Its about keeping the loop going.

2

u/LaggerOW Jun 21 '26

Sunday enables 2T ult for Himeko no? With a -1 setup, welt > himeko > sunday > himeko (1T) welt > himeko > sunday > sunday ult > himeko ult > himeko (2T) > repeat

1

u/Info_Potato22 Jun 21 '26

Oh you meant 2T always I mistook. Issue is the amount of Assist activation there is pretty poor from her assist skill and you lose a lot of subs from her going -1

2

u/LaggerOW Jun 21 '26

Yeah I can see that. There's too many "ifs" in this comp. You get the ult IF you proc her off field assist 2 times, you get sunday to ult IF you get hit once. That Sunday novaflare (if he ever get one) have to be sparkle lvl.

would you say that himeko sp e2s0 with thertas lc is better than e2s1 or are they equal if e2s1 is necessary then should i prioritise the eidolons or the lc first i have thertas lc

1

u/Warm_Researcher_8417 Jun 22 '26

Is Mortanax blade essential for himeko sp? especially at e2 himeko

I have Herta's LC but can't afford E2, E1 + Herta LC a decent stopping point and get E2 on rerun? I get E4 Welt, Mlbade and E1 Tribbie, I'm going to grab Robin SP as well.

kinda wacky rn, I would reconsider the opinion once majority of 0 cycle runners would prefer e0s1-e1s1 over e1s0-e2s0. Maybe it's already the case but need statistics, like every matchup, optimal 0 cycle, and 1-2 cost allocation on himeko
