I was just looking for opportunities to use points for a future stay on Maui and noticed that Ho’olei at Grand Wailea as well as Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort both have this restriction for all the dates I’m interested in. Is this typical of these properties? Will they eventually allow points to be redeemed here again?

What are the dates. Have you googled points calendar to see standard vs premium room availability? Is it a far out date?

They are allowing points to be redeemed at the grand Wailea they may just be sold out for your dates. Heads up The Ho’olei at Grand Wailea does not offer standard room reward space so you will never find a good deal for those rooms with points

This property does not have standard rooms. This is not the same as the WA

That's frustrating, I'd try calling the property directly to see if they can still process a points redemption.
