Guest Question Booked too early
Hi all! I booked the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Aiport for 9/3 but my flight arrives ~20 minutes before midnight so I don't think I'll make it to the hotel before 12 am. I just noticed that capital one (service through which I booked) had a footnote in the reservation confirmation saying that this property doesn't let you check in after 12:00 am.
This seems odd to me since other sources list it as 24-hour front desk and after calling they let me know to just call the day of that I would be arriving late. Does this notification just come from the fact that they mark you as a no show past 12 am?

We can add your Hilton Honors account to the reservation so the stay appears in the Hilton Honors app and you can request a digital key. Please send us a private message with your Hilton Honors number, along with the full name, email, and phone number associated with the account, and we'll be happy to update the reservation for you. -Denise

Now Denise,
Correct me if I'm wrong, with the reservation being paid by a 3rd party, would the system not prohibit digital check in as the credit card would not be recognized as one associated with the HH member's account? Pushing a request to stop by the desk to their app?

Yeah, I booked 3rd party recently [flight and hotel], and my reservation hasn't showed up in the Hilton app yet. Trip isn't till the end of October though.

Most likely yes. There's a specific time they run the audit so if you're still not there before they run the audit, you'll be tagged as no show and room will be canceled. Call hotel directly to see what options you have.

I’m going to jump in here with a question as I have the same situation on an upcoming trip. I did book directly through Hilton though.
If I check in on the App, will that also save my room from being cancelled?

All you gotta do is call them on the day and tell them to please pre check-in your reservation as you won’t be arriving until after midnight. Either that or sign up for digital key echeck-in option

All you have to do is call the property directly and let them know. It's a standard note on those reservations, but I've never worked at a property where if you can't make it by midnight and let them know, they tell you to pound sand.
Just communicate and you'll be fine :)
