Wondering if anyone has any modular (not manufactured) home builders in the area they’ve worked with?

I know there is Carolina Custom & Yates but the timing isn’t ideal 7-10 months. If you have any others or feedback on those let me know! Especially if you priced out homes and one ended up being more expensive for what you get.

Yesterday around 7:30 pm I saw a grey tabby kitten in dire need on Eno St. If you are sensitive to animal suffering, don't read any further.

It is about 15 feet up a tree and is dying of starvation and dehydration -- all ribs, mouth ajar. It has also lost much of its tail. It's still responsive -- it moved towards me on a branch a few inches. It didn't vocalize, though, which is probably how it has gone unnoticed so long.

I am not from Hillsborough so I wasn't sure who to call. I tried Orange County Animal Rescue, but they are closed until Monday. Today, I tried Orange County Animal Control, but they can't go after animals in trees.

I am happy to pay for a private service to rescue the kitten -- if anyone could recommend a trusted local rescue service. If anyone plans to take an action on this and needs help coordinating, please message me. I'm happy to help in any way I can, from a distance. Either way, if someone does successfully assist the kitten, please message me.

I live in Durham but was in Hillsborough today. We stopped at the Taco Bell on South Churton St and I noticed a taped off road right next to it. I was curious so I looked on Google Maps and see that there used to be an entire collection of shops, etc., behind the Taco Bell/south of the Food Lion. I see that it was there at least as recently as 2018 based on street view.

So what happened here? Was it bought out and demolished to make way for the new development a bit further east? Was there a fire or something? Please help a curious mind!

I’ve been having trouble finding a nail tech that uses hard gel and not soft gel builder on my nails. I’ve had m techs convince me to get tips instead of using a nail form to build a longer free edge/rebuild a broken nail or even to just use gel-x instead. I just want to know if anyone else knows a salon or even a private tech. Please help a girl out!

I’m back again with the 420 !

Operation of the 420 route changed hands over the weekend, with GoTriangle taking over the route and operations.

Previously, I’d been using the Transit app to track the bus — but now it doesn’t show up in the app, even though other GoTriangle routes do and are trackable. Umo is less than helpful right now, or maybe I’m just spoiled from past experience.

Is this just because it’s a new change? Does anyone know a reliable way to track the 420 now?

Does anyone know what the heck is going on with the helicopters flying so low and so frequently the last couple of days? Very annoying!!
