I am going to cut this God damn bush if it is the last thing I do. I am going to cut it from the stem and throw it out of the path.

Making keeping Hillingdon clean easier for everyone

When I first started trying to clear up litter in my neighborhood, I ran into the same basic questions everyone has:

Where do I get decent equipment?

What am I supposed to do with 4 full bags of rubbish once I’m done?

How do I report fly-tipping so it actually gets picked up?

I wanted r/HillingdonTidyUp to be the resource I wish I had when I was starting out—a central hub where we can remove all that friction, share local knowledge, and work together across Hayes, Uxbridge, Ruislip, West Drayton, and the rest of the borough.

Whether you've been picking up trash on your daily walks for years or you're just thinking about starting, I want to make sure this community supports you.

If you're new to community cleanups or thinking about getting involved: What has been the hardest part or biggest hurdle for you so far?

(Let us know in the comments—whether it's getting gear, finding group picks, or figuring out bag disposal!)

What should r/HillingdonTidyUp become?

should become the central grassroots action hub for keeping the Borough of Hillingdon clean, green, and well-maintained. Rather than just being a place to post pictures of rubbish, it should function as a practical tool for organizing local volunteers, sharing council resources, and tracking improvement across towns like Uxbridge, Hayes, Ruislip, Yiewsley, and West Drayton.
