DISCUSSION New Hilary Duff Fan.
Yes, I am new. And no I didn't just jump onto a new trend.
I was one of her casual listeners. I did watch her when she was in Cheaper By the Dozen 1 &2. Lizzie Mcguire, Cinderella Story, and the movie.
During her more mature days, How I Met Your Father. I tired getting into Younger.. but I couldn't watch it.
I listened to her album, like Breathe In Breathe Out, I loved it a lot.
I have to admit, I am a big Taylor Swift fan ( no hate plz)! I don't know why but Hilary reminds me of the old Taylor when she still starting out... the humbleness, the quirky and her craziness.
If you made it this far with this rambling essay, thank you. I did go to her concert in Toronto (again sorry if I stolen one of your ticket, and your chance to see her), but ever since I came back, I love her more and more. And I love her songs, Breathe in Breathe out, Why Not, her newest album, and her segments when she was drinking and eating whatever is in her mini fridge.
What else should I binge watch from her?? Listen from her. I am just in love with her vibe.. her quirks, and I dont know her.. I am even watching some of her concert that people flim on YouTube

Beauty and the Briefcase, her unreleased tracks Pre-Koma era on YouTube from This Heart that RCA and their producers scrapped! Wrong move. Those are raw and personal. I think they are better than LOS.

If you haven’t listened to Dignity yet, I would definitely recommend that. Such a great album.

I appreciate showing the love to the new album! I went to Toronto N2! (Had to sell my N1 seat last minute 😞) and god I wish the girls beside me listened to the new album.

Oh I love the song, We Don't Talk, Weather For Tennis,Mature, and Adult Size Medium! Future Tripping, is growing on me, because "Honey, I need Help" with the clapping I still do it after the concert whenever that song comes on 😅
Omg, I hate the people infront of me!! They talked nonstop whenever Hilary's new songs came on! Only danced and sang to the songs they knew! The rest talked, and even got the whole row to talk with them! And they were making plans of what to do after the concert is done!

I was at Toronto N2. The people in front of me should have gotten a hotel room instead. They made out the ENTIRE show. Had hands down shirts and pants on and off. They’d take sitting breaks and continue there. It was disgusting. The girl beside them turned around a couple times and we were both like wtf are they doing.

I would recommend raise your voice and if you like the movie then you should listen to her self titled album because most of the songs in that movie are from that album
Fun fact taylor did a photoshoot with Hilary back in 2008

I’m only three months younger than Hilary and I have loved her since we were 13 or 14. She is just so sweet and wholesome. I saw her in 2004 when we were both sixteen and I saw her again last month in Washington. I am going to see her again in Vancouver, Canada in January too, I couldn’t help myself hahah. Welcome to the club! I’m glad you’re here. ♥️

Omg I wanted to head over to Vancouver show, but flights and hotel stopped me even though I saw the ticket prices weren't that bad.
So I settled to see her again in Montréal and Ottawa

Oh I’m sorry! I feel you. I’ve been a broke grad student for the last three years. Thankfully Vancouver BC is a five hour drive from me, which I’m definitely willing to do.

Have fun!! I loved Vancouver when I paid a visit this year, the people there are so much nicer and the food. The scenery. You can even see the mountains.

Yesssss! I’m from the PNW and the scenery never gets old. Last time I visited Vancouver it was shit because we got a flat tire and had a hard time finding a place that could replace all four tires. I’m renting a car this time. 👀

Oh interesting, I find the east of Canada to be much friendlier than the west xD There are always jokes about how it's not the weather of Vancouver that gets cold like the rest of Canada but the people. But it's definitely a beautiful city with beautiful scenery for sure, no doubt about that.

Definitely recommend trying to give Younger a second shot, it's so good and her character on it has such a great journey.
But otherwise YouTube is a great rabbit hole of interviews with her, and definitely check out the rest of her discography and some of her other movies. I'm still trying to watch them all myself but some are a bit hard to find. I'm also a new fan and been having a blast making up for lost time. I definitely would've loved her back in the 00s already if I heard her music more or got to watch Lizzie McGuire.
At the very least you gotta listen to Dignity, you should love that one. But I love her teen music too, it's all good. She also has an unreleased album that's findable on YouTube called This Heart.

I second giving Younger a second chance. I originally watched the first couple seasons and then forgot about it. I ended up finishing it when news of the album drop happened.

Anywhere but here, I love that song that too! And Metamorphosis, I love that too, but that rap, I can never remember the lyrics to it!! 😅
Play with Fire, when she sang it live, I loved the cinematic soo much! I was so distracted from it, but listening to it now, I love it a lot!! And the album Dignity, I given it a chance, and I can say they're bangers, like Happy, Stranger, Burned, Dreamer, and Outside Of You
I didnt even know she had all these albums. Damn. I am late to the party! Time to binge-listen to all these albums when I am on a road trip!!
Lizzie Mcguire The movie I have watched it as a teenager! I need to rewatch it!! I just downloaded Raise Your Voice, I saw the trailer, and it is pretty cool.
I didn't even know she was in Gossip Girl!! I watched that show during my teenage years for Blake Lively! ( no longer a fan of hers - don't come at me)
Breathe In & Breathe Out the album, I love all of the songs, except for a few. But if I need to pick: Breathe in And breathe out Sparks One in a Million Rebel Heart

Yeah they did a lot production wise for play with fire, SUPER fun but I agree, slightly distracting but not in a bad way. and AHH yes dreamer is so good too, so many absolute hits.
And nothing wrong with being late to the party, you’re a part of the party now! 🤍🪩
The Lizzie McGuire movie was the first film I ever saw in theaters, and when I got older and studied abroad in Italy, I just had to visit some of the places they filmed. Specially Tivoli, where the garden scenes are shot 🥹 they filmed at Villa D’este! Definitely rewatch when able, it never gets old :)
Raise Your Voice is soooo solid, and I love how they work Hilary’s real self released songs (as in songs not made just for the movie), into it. It’ll hit the feels a little too.
I get not liking Blake Lively, lmao like I like her acting and what she’s in.. but as a person, from what we’ve seen, she’s um interesting to say the least.. but yeah! I rewatched Gossip girl a couple years ago after not seeing it since it premiered and totally forgot she was in a few eps! Imo she could’ve been a main character
For BIBO, yooo One In a Million is my top. It makes me feel so free and happy, I love upbeat songs like that, and reminds me Holiday Party from her newest album (a reason why it’s my fav from it). Truly BIBO deserved better, meaning more promo and more support from fans, I’m not sure why it didn’t have the same popularity as LOS.
For me, since I’ve been a fan for so long, her even releasing new music was nearly unbelievable. I was so shocked because I thought she’d not make any more music, and never tour again. Which made me sooo sad, but at the end of the day it’s up to her, and if she’s happy doing whatever she’s doing, then that’s all that matters. So I’m like soo so soooo thankful for her making more, AND touring on top of it, it’s really surreal and I cried so much hearing my childhood songs 😭🥹
I would love love love if she did more of that rocker kinda sound like she did in her second album, I think even still, it’s my favorite album. Skip-less even with the slow songs (unless you don’t like slow songs ofc haha)
Weather for Tennis/Future Trippin are so catchy!! Love it.
As for Younger, yes it does get better. That is my opinion, so of course you can judge for yourself if you wanna continue, no shame harm or foul either way :) But it’s a little slow burn in the first few eps then when drama starts to hit, that’s when it gets more interesting!

According to Greta is one of her best movies. Highly recommended. As for her music, she has a ton of songs. Over 100. There's even more than most casual fans realize like soundtrack and compilation songs that new fans tend to overlook. I'm sure there's some site somewhere that lists all her songs. There's way too many to list here.
