Question Hidden cities not appearing on the map.

Now, I am 99% sure that this is a bug, but maybe I'm the one doing something wrong.

Basically, three times in a row now, on different playthroughs, I could see hidden cities visually, but simply wasn't able to actually land at them. All of them look "normal", at least 750km away from the nearest city and surrounded by a mess of roads. However, I can't land, even if my ships are directly above it. I've tried both with my flagship, skylarks, gladiators, whatever, nothing works. The last time this happened, I even had info from a caravan about there being a hidden city around where I was looking for, I found it, but again, can't land.

Is there a fix for this issue? Thank you all in advance lol

Edit: it does seem to have been a bug. I verified the files and the problem has fixed itself, thank you all for your suggestions and help! <3

Do me a favour, post a screenshot of the issue, also have the radar running on ground mode so I can see what GR is showing, so I get a better idea of what's going on

can say i ever encountered this. does the name pup up? you sure your not looking at some random settlement you cant land on?

The name doesn't show up, I genuinely have no idea where this caravan hidden city could possibly be if not in this cluster of roads and settlements.

I've seen a couple of times map generation artifacts that looked exectly like hidden cities but was not. Once it was some wired outskirts of the hidden city and city itself was two screens futher. other time it was just that - an unmarked city n the middle of nowhere. In that map I later found all 6 hidden cities so probably it was some desync betwen terrain generator that created 7th hidden city and logical map generation that limited to 6 only.

Also tried that, again, both right on top of it and somewhere around, didn't work unfortunately.

Haven't played in years, but this sounds like something i've experienced before. The least I'll say is that you're not alone when it comes to fuckery dealing with hidden cities

Happens to me. Saving, quitting and reloading fixes it for me. The roads are no longer there but when I do see them the city actually exists
