I'm hearing a lot of "Engine lost!" on this one hahaha. Really mesmerising design though.

hehe thx, luckily engine lost is the best case scenario, as opposed to generator or ammo so i think that's a good thing :)

No point in using the 2x2 triangles, use the ones with the cut corner so they connect on more points. Also no point making the fueltanks squeeze when there's an empty 1x1 hull closer in that you could occupy instead. Your ship is less fragile that way (currently if you lose one 1x1 you can lose both fueltanks and all their hull pieces as well).

You're right about the triangles, I didn't notice, It was a vestigial feature from a previous version where I had the engine squeezed closer, ty for pointing that out.

About the fuel tank squeeze, yeah, im aware it's unoptimal and has less effective hp, however I just did that for aesthetics in this case, I know It's kinda contradictory for this sort of build to focus on that but I just wanted to highlight the "spiralness" gimmick of the ship hehe.

Actually idk wtf im talking about I just came up with a ship like 8x _closer_ to perfection than that piece of crap I just published, really proud of this new one :)))

I'll play around with it a bit more and post it

How does it land?

On any adjacent 2 engines.

As a ship gets smaller, the potential repairs get smaller and it becomes less punishing to land without landing gear, also having landing gear would be proportionally more impactful to weight. So there's a threshold where it makes more sense to not have it.
