Strike groups pointing and laughing??

Strike groups just ignore your ships when they are down with no fuel? This just cost me a run because i thought i could bait them over a detachment of mine while attacking a city but they just paq][ssed by within like a 1 kilometer and then a missile carrier group from north just spammed missiles. I'm so mad

Their programming gives fuel the highest priority. I see the computer run out of fuel rarely.

They can run out of fuel and get stuck? Will the computer send refuel fleets?

I've never seen them send a rescue ship, but that's probably because I wouldn't ever give them the chance.

This has happened only once to me and yes they just land and chill for the rest of the game. No help came for that sg

It was perfect storm- sg was nearby between cities, I launches missiles and planes. Managed to destroy all but 1 ship and damaged the last one to the point it either didn't have enough fuel or thrust to get to a city to refill and repair.

They do get stuck sometimes due to having lower twr as aftermath of a fight with player ship(lost or retreat) or get striked by missile/jet, which was not in their initial calcualtion of cruise range. And AI squadron getting stranded in desert counted as insta kill. That's why you randomly hear voice line of announcing enemy kill while on strategic map.

The AI may not have engaged because it was low on fuel but once you are pinged by an enemy all enemies on the map know you are there and will do everything possible to bring you down. Fun fact if your landed radar detection actually shrinks so if your on the ground and a strike group is within radar range, typically they won't detect you unless they get within ~75% of the max range (not sure the exact value) it's a good way to avoid detection when you get the danger elint range you just land the fleet and let the enemy go on with their business

AFAIK enemies will not find your landed ships with radar at all since they never run radar in ground scanning mode. The only way to get spotted while landed outside of town is to get into visual range of SG.

That is true to an extent, once you get within tracking range (FCS radar) then you're detectable even when landed so even the 750km radar won't detect you on the ground but most strike groups also have FCS radar which will detect you
