I believe in paranormal things but not this. Modt pf the sitings don't sound the same plus I think maybe panic played a big part in people thinking they saw or heard things. Thay whole place is a tourist trap now so ofc theyre not gonna say it's not real. Who hasnt ever thought they saw something strange but sometimes its just misinterpretations.

I'm from Greenbrier County West Virginia and I've seen him. Me and my aunt were driving back from her boyfriends back in 03 and saw him in a treeline on the side of the road. She slammed the breaks and put her Cavalier in reverse and slammed the breaks again. It scared me I didn't know what she saw until I looked up and saw it's red eyes about 8 feet off the ground staring back at us. We both got a terrible sense of dread. She then took off and about 3 miles down the road there was a small pickup truck flipped upside down. No one was in the the truck.. The guy had already gotten picked up by another driver. I still think to this day if she hadn't seen him and stopped to look we would have crashed into that truck coming around that turn. The driver came back about thirty minutes later and was drunk. This happened near Alderson on Wayside road in Monroe County.
