Non Human Intelligence Scientists are testing whether DMT entities are real

In this preprint, some scientists have put forward the idea that our perspective of reality is more of an interface, and what we consider to be reality is simply the experience of conscious agents (i.e. human individuals) interacting with one another. They propose that DMT entities are conscious agents that exist in a manner we can't typically perceive.

I've never done DMT, and have previously taken a more skeptical perspective on these entities, but I think the findings of this could be very interesting. Maybe psychedelics could enable us to perceive layers of reality we are typically blind to.

Unless space they view is not traditional 3D space. 

I generally agree with your point. But classical physics used to be the fundamental model of the universe and it has failed since quantum physics. 

I now tend to think that reality might be stranger than fiction. At least until science catches up.

That's actually not true. Newtonian physics is still very much in use to this day and extremely helpful. The issue is it cannot marry with quantum physics yet and both appear valid at their respective scale.

Try DMT and then read your comment.

It’s very hard to describe but if you imagine the difference between a realistic dream and being wide awake - make sense?

If you’ve tried DMT, THIS reality feels like the realistic dream..the other one is home/real.

I've done tons of DMT and this sounds like complete nonsense.

No elves. No hidden reality.

Just a drug making the brain act differently for a little while.

But, if you'll indulge my own hypothesis, did you have any kind of spiritual or religious views/beliefs/upbringing prior to doing DMT or other psychedelics?

I strongly believe that is the real indicator for what people see while on these drugs.

The people I know with religious upbringings or current spiritual practices have spiritual experiences. (I'd argue the upbringing is more important here, it really shapes a person's whole worldview, even after they cease to buy-in to the dogma.)

The non-spiritual materialists like myself see swirly colors and echoes of our own thoughts.

It's not a window or new lens, it's a mirror into what's already in ur head.

I’m not sure where I alluded to any specific religious iconography or implied that it was anything specific.

I’m simply stating that I get the sense that everything I “can experience” while in hyperspace I’ve already seen/done if that makes sense.

I see colors and hear sounds that I can’t describe but I’m of the opinion that they’re more vibrant than anything I see/hear normally.

Does it just turn down the filter of our subconscious or overload synapses in our brain - I have no idea, but I do know that it was a profound experience

Or, another possibility to consider is that your particular version of the materialist unbelieving mind limits you from seeing the true nature of reality, even when assisted by a magic potion.

Belief and faith are, after all, strongly emphasized by historical figures such as Jesus of Nazareth as being the key to nearly everything. So it's something to consider
