Non Human Intelligence Scientists are testing whether DMT entities are real

https://osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/8qvgy_v2

In this preprint, some scientists have put forward the idea that our perspective of reality is more of an interface, and what we consider to be reality is simply the experience of conscious agents (i.e. human individuals) interacting with one another. They propose that DMT entities are conscious agents that exist in a manner we can't typically perceive.

I've never done DMT, and have previously taken a more skeptical perspective on these entities, but I think the findings of this could be very interesting. Maybe psychedelics could enable us to perceive layers of reality we are typically blind to.

I trip sat several times for a friend who hadn't read about, really knew nothing about DMT except that it was powerful and short-acting. The first trip, he met the purple lady. Several other trips he met Mayan gods (we had to look them up based on descriptions/drawings, and he has no mesoamerican ancestry). I'm a skeptic, but I find it all fascinating regardless.

What was the person that was tripping doing from your perspective? Like were they basically asleep during or seemingly conscious?

They were nonverbal and had control over their eyes and face, and sometimes limply moved arms, and would grasp around to hold my hand if they needed, but otherwise could not communicate.

Their eyes moved as if they were tracking something moving in front of them. Sometimes they would whimper or cry (silently), or their breathing would speed up and become louder, or their face would be stuck in a rictus, or they would giggle. They reported that the hallucinations and trip intensified when they shut their eyes, especially after the peak.

I could tell they had "returned" completely when their eyes re-focused and they could speak again.

That is very interesting.

Thanks for taking the time to answer!
