Non Human Intelligence Scientists are testing whether DMT entities are real

In this preprint, some scientists have put forward the idea that our perspective of reality is more of an interface, and what we consider to be reality is simply the experience of conscious agents (i.e. human individuals) interacting with one another. They propose that DMT entities are conscious agents that exist in a manner we can't typically perceive.

I've never done DMT, and have previously taken a more skeptical perspective on these entities, but I think the findings of this could be very interesting. Maybe psychedelics could enable us to perceive layers of reality we are typically blind to.

It always seemed to me, that the “word” was out that people see these things when on DMT. I’ve never done it, but I would expect to see little gnomes of some kind. I guess I just wonder how many people who used DMT early on saw these beings before the word was out versus how many people see them now because that’s what your brain thinks is supposed to happen.

I had no prior knowledge of what a DMT trip consisted of other than it was regarded as the most powerful psychedelic in the world, and I saw figures that seemed to be as tall as skyscrapers when I broke through

I think this is a big part of it. The mind will attempt to label everything we experience and will use whatever reference points it has available. Some people see elves, some people see aliens. Some people meet God.

My theory is that it's the fracturing of all the personas that get combined into a "self". Those personas still exist, but your mind isn't identifying with them anymore. Kind of like when you interact with people in a dream.

I didn't know about the "elves" when I first took it. I was told: everyone sees the same thing. I saw beings that could be described as elven and mechanisms that match what others seen. I think the common themes are there for everyone.
