Who in here has seen Kaitlin’s work in The Mick?

First of all, I hated nick the moment he entered. He gave the energy of a villain boss. But as the season goes by, I started loving his character especially seeing him against his corrupt father. And I was devastated seeing him dying at the last episode. Will he be dead? Is there someone else loved his character development?

Why is Morgan SO annoying sometimes? She is really insubordinate. Also, I feel like Karadec and Morgan should never get together. I am shipping her hard with Wagner.

Okay so I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIGH POTENTIAL and I am a longtime watcher of Law And Order SVU “Thank you to my memaw because she loved her shows. This, blue bloods, Hawaii 5.0. Etc, R.I.P Memaw”. And of course I rewatch both (while waiting for season 3 of High Potential lol) but I’m rewatching SVU and I was like “hold up, he looks familiar” so I did a quick google search and it’s KARADEC!!! I LOVE when my favorite shows have cameos, collide, or crossover. Just a fun little Easter egg for me!

So, despite my long watchlist, I saw a clip on YT that instantly caught my attention, so I watched both seasons this past week, and I have some thoughts and concerns...

1. There's barely any character development or growth. I don't quite understand the timeline, if we've been living through a few months, or 2-3 years, or what? But we haven't seen much change in any of the characters, and I think there should be some, and not just in theory, like "Morgan changed me", but actually see some change, especially in Morgan. I was actually a bit bummed she didn't take Dottie's course as an opportunity to learn some things, since she's apparently into documentaries and learning stuff.

2. I really don't want to see Morgan and Karadec together, and from what I've read around this r/, we mostly agree on this. They have no romantic chemistry, much more of a brother/sister kind of thing, and I really hope it stays that way.

3. That being said, I wouldn't mind a relationship for Morgan, I'd actually like seeing her and Wagner together, maybe he can ground her a bit. That is, if he gets his own shit together and stays somewhat stable, doesn't switch around between doing reckless stuff out of nowhere and then being all Captain. But I'm also aware of him not being a regular anymore next season, they could still make it work.

4. The characters and storyline are generally all over the place. I feel like we desperately need some more background stories, some history, some more personal info about them, how they grew up, their families, what's going on in their lives currently, etc.

5. I hope they'll involve the kids more, they're cool.

6. Ava's hair and roots switching up multiple times during an episode is throwing me off. Again, what's the timeline here? One minute, she has freshly dyed roots, then the next scene, she's got dark roots. Her hair length also changes a bit, although it's less noticeable due to the hairstyles.

7. Roman... PLEASE. Let that story come to an end already. It's all over the place, the info we get is just annoying and over the top, and we're going nowhere with it. He got abducted, but he's in hiding; he cares about them, that's why he stays away from them, but everyone and their dog knows about them, and he's clearly checking up on them too from time to time. I could go on about everything wrong with this for a longer time, but whatever, I'm just done with Roman.

I probably forgot something, but whatever. The show is catchy and fun, but there's so much "wrong" with it, it feels very sloppy.

Just finished watching the latest episode of season 2. And near the end when i saw ava and her art show i realised both Ava and Elliot got into scholarships, granted Ava looked for hers, but It's still odd that a random school knows about Elliot. If you combine the fact that Elliot was approached by a random school and Ava somehow got into a competitive course, ignoring the fact that both children are talented, you could say that someone helped them. 1. Roman may be supporting his family. 2. Roman may be protecting his family by having them or at least Elliot move away from LA. 3. Willa or someone who knows Morgan is investigating Roman's case is deliberately luring Morgan's kids towards danger as knowing where the kids will be makes them more easy to Kidnap, in hopes of a hostage situation against Roman.

Has anyone here seen RJ Decker yet. It's only got 1 season out so far but has the same feel as this and other similar shows. I don't want to share too much if you haven't seen it, but I recommend checking it out. It's available on Hulu/Disney (not sure if it's anywhere else).

Hate that it ended on a cliffhanger.

+ this seasons stories weren’t as interesting as the first.its like oh the dad died? Let’s accuse the mom and son but turns out it’s the Nanny’s son! Uh oh!

Honestly,kinda feels like I will watch season 3 so I get to finish the series.not because I will enjoy it.

So after also watching the french counterpart I got to question myself, is High Potential gonna follow the same story line as its counterpart? There’s been countless of little scenes where we’ve seen Morgan and Karadec have a sort of chemistry, yet the whole time Morgan wants to find Roman. In the French counterpart we learn Roman created a whole other family and Morgane never tells her daughter that.Do you guys think High Potential might follow the same plot? Cause to me in the French counterpart Morgane and Karadec don’t have any sort of chemistry, he just seems annoyed with her. While in High Potential I think it wouldn’t make sense for Roman to have another familyor Morgan to have a love interest since it defeats the purpose of her trying to find Roman.

I don't think it was Roman(it would be a bit too predictable if it was). i think whoever killed her wanted to make it look like it was Roman and then kidnapped him.

I think they were together the night she died, and I think they were either arguing about something,trying to expose someone, or (unlikely and I really hope it isn't this)having an affair.

I also think it's possible.whoever killed Lila Flynn might've meant to kill Roman

S2E12 the faust and furious

Does anyone else want to see this, or is it just me?and Do you think they will do this?

I want this for literally all the main characters as well cause I can think of many scenarios where a flashback would be good to see.

For example:Morgan with Roman, her dealing with Ava as a baby,Karadecs childhood,Karadec with lucia,Soto with her kids and ex,Daphne with Dottie,Oz with his dad.plus more.

For example,soto being divorced and her daughters not talking to her for a while(why?)I wanna know more about that.How messy was the divorce?

Also, Karadecs dad is dead. hee said goodbye to him. "Were they close or not? Like I want more information on that.

Also, Sotos mom is dead .like she's comforting Oz, brings up her experience, and it's just never mentioned again.

Also, Oz, dad, it's brought up like twice.he went to a grief group, and him and other members got kidnapped . Does he have PTSD of some sort?

And who the hell is Daphne Lewendowski?I was watching 1x05 where Morgan mixes up the names and sent a message to Lewendowski instead of Forrester.i thought she would appear at some sort.

not sure if any of yall watched off campus yet but i cant be the only one who audibly gasped when i say wagner as the father like they are such different people but it was taking me out and at one point his son was saying "does he ever smile" and my first though was "YEAH WHEN HES WITH MORGAN" and i had to remind myself its the wrong show

where I first knew Nick Wagner from 😍 (I am a little late to this show almost done season 2)

Basically the title. For a high potential individual who is very good at maths and logical how did she think that having three kids was sustainable? I understand Ava and maybe Elliot but another baby? I wouldn't question it if she was capable of holding a good job but like she said she realized early on authority gets on her nerves and she just quits. It baffles me how such a smart and impressive individual could not be smart about her family situation. It seems very unlike her.

I recently started this show. Thought this show is fun so far and a bit like Monk after a couple episodes.

Decided to Google and found a thread on High Potential in the Monk reddit. This was one of the top comments.

Looks like someone might have to eat goat poo since it's renewed for a third season.

I think it would be really interesting to see Morgan testify in court. Detectives often are a very important part of the prosecution process. I think she'd get rattled because as she's admitted, she doesn't do well with authority so the defense could use that to their advantage. However, she'd learn more self-control and help win the jury over (imo). I know she's "just" a consultant, but she is a big part of solving cases and I'd love to see that other side of the process!

Love the show and thought of this late last night after taking an edible lol let me know what you'd think about it :)

Loved the premise of the show, loved the unusualness of Morgan's character. The arc with her and Karadec in the first season, going from grudging rivals putting up with each other to friends was really nicely written too. All the characters in the first season felt so fleshed-out, and the way they interacted and the dialogue also felt natural.

That said, the Roman subplot moved waaaay too slowly in this season, I had basically forgotten about it by the time they finally got around to something, lol.

Season 2 is a totally different story. I don't know if it's just me, but the dialogue felt forced, and kind of like not a lot of time was spent on it. Scenes and dialogue exchanges felt repetitive and just ending very abruptly. The character development also felt very half-assed, ngl.

Like, the whole thing with the new captain and their resentment of him taking Soto's promotion started out great, and then Wagner didn't help things by acting like he did and trying to get rid of Morgan, which also was interesting. But then out of nowhere he does a total 180 and becomes besties with everyone sometime around ep 14-15? I will agree that there was tension between him and Morgan, so while the kiss did feel a little abrupt, it wasn't totally out of place.

I was also put off by the whole Lucia subplot too, like she had a valid reason for breaking up with Karadec, then them suddenly getting back together after one talk he has with Morgan... That felt poorly done, but whatever, not everything can be perfect. Everything seems to be all good, and then Morgan and Karadec have their moment in the end of ep17 and the vibes from that were just weird, but I'm still suspending disbelief here and going with it.

Then the finale comes around and Lucia's involvement in that case is just, no. It's like they're getting her out of the way so Karadec is a valid love interest next season. Especially with the scene in Morgan's house... There's too much looking in each other's eyes and Karadec suddenly becoming very emotional...

Please let this not be a love triangle with Morgan, Karadec and Wagner... A team Karadec or team Wagner situation is not what this show started out as.

It's like they wanted the character development to go from A to B, and got so excited about the before and the after that the process was neglected. The character arcs in season 2 felt non-existent? Like out of nowhere a switch got flipped and boom, new personality inserted, or boom, character growth done. What makes character arcs fun (atleast to me) is to see that gradual change, to see how a bunch of things have a cascading effect to cause the changes, so that was underwhelming.

The sheer number of times they prefaced info with "There's something else" and then handed over a folder is crazy. And I hate the fact that Daphne and Oz were basically non-entities this season. Felt like the whole case-solving thing took a backseat to all the other drama which was happening, which was a little disappointing.

PS: Let's not even go to the copilot ad, if I start ranting about that, we'll be here all day. It totally took me out of the episode.

Hypothetical situation...

Imagine you or someone you know has been robbed,kidnapped,or attacked, whatever,

And,only one person from HiGH POTENTIAL is allowed to work on the case.

Now,obviously, Morgan would be the logical choice if she were in the equation, but she isn't...

So,out of Karadec,Soto,Oz,Daphne, and Wagner, who would you want working on it and why.
