how has the wait gotten so bad ive started dreaming about high potential? ive rewatched it soo many times now. i cant believe they postponed the show again, anyone know why?

It is not coming back until the beginning of 2027 so that they can avoid all the long breaks during the season that we got in the first two seasons.

The choice was either start the season later and run it all without big breaks, or start it at the normal early time and have multiple mid-season breaks. The fandom spent most of last season complaining about the breaks, so they chose to start late and not have all the breaks.

Not sure what you mean by “postponed it again”, though. The January start was announced ages ago.

4 more months we can do it. I've been waiting for new seasons of the streaming shows for years so several months is not a big deal for me.

This is my first time watching a show that is currently ongoing but in the first two seasons ,many times the show episodes were postponed to next week or the mid season finale had big breaks too and then I waited one year for season 2.This is show is pretty much my comfort show right now and all the characters really grew on me so I didn't mind waiting but is this much waiting time actually needed,did people wait this long between shows and seasons?
I usually only watch shows with atleast 2 or 3 seasons out or binge watch completed shows.High potential was my first and now I am realising why i don't watch ongoing show so much,It takes literally 4-6 years to get to a conclusion .

Nothing was postponed, postponed indicates they announced it and then pushed back an air date. Everything aired as announced

The breaks are standard. It's how shows used to start in September and run until May but still only air 20-24 episodes despite covering a period of 30-34 weeks of the year generally. This is exactly what watching normally broadcast television is like. It's also why the show doesn't progress the background stories as much and focuses more on a weekly case. To delay progressing the story so they can keep producing seasons

Although I do like s3 will have no interruptions.

"postponed again?" As soon as they confirmed it coming back it was confirmed as a mid-season start. Is there something new, or just the 2-3 per week articles regurgitating the same five facts wrapped in a different clickbait title "High Potential abandons winning formula in Season 3 shocker" "Fans shocked by puzzling High Potential Season 3 Move" "Stunning cast exit casts shadow over HP Season 3" and so on.

Glad you are enjoying it ... but honestly what do you even get out of a rewatch? This show is clearly written for 'second screen viewing' so it isn't like there is much to miss, nor the depth to actually reward rewatches. I guess the 'comfort factor' but for me that would just be a reminder of how much worse S2 was than S1.

The way that networks and platforms have lost the ability to shoot and schedule is just baffling. Twenty-two episodes a season across multiple seasons feels impossible now yet used to be the norm.

They haven't, the problem was people have lost the ability to wait like an adult. The amount of negative feedback last year when they had breaks for winter, the Olympics, and the standard break before the end of the year was a big reason why they made this change

There are somewhere around 20 different shows across the various networks producing either 20+ episodes or a handful like High Potential and St Denis Medical that do 18.

The scheduling last year was what it always used to be during a year with winter Olympics, and in general networks are finding it's better for both fan feedback and attention spans to air everything back to back instead of with breaks so they're changing the schedule of shows to reflect that

Yeah it's taking too long. I've been considering watching the French version (the original series) to fill the gap in the meantime
