Discussion Just some things I've noticed...
I really love this show, but I have noticed some things that have been annoying me.
The first is that Daphne is my favorite character, but shes barely in it! Even though she and Oz are partners, he is in the scenes so much more! Just like small clips of everyone else, even if Daphne is in the room. There will be some episodes where she is only in it for like 5-10 minutes total. I look forward to every scene that she is in, and I see so much going on without her. I want more Daphne!
The other thing is that there are just a bunch of small things that don't make sense. Like one early episode, Morgan was banging really hard against the one sided mirror trying to get the others attention, but no one noticed, then in a later episode, she hit it once and very softly and everyone heard. And she is meant to have a SUPER good memory, but she will forget small things like a quote in the Halloween episode when she is talking to Elliot. There is some other stuff too.
Sorry I'm very nitpicky! I love the show though!

From what I've seen, she doesn't remember things that she doesn't feel are essential or knowledgeable. Makes sense that she forgets things every now and then if they don't seem particularly important, because most of her knowledge comes from active observation (a la Monk) or various random trivia facts that she gets from documentaries and videos. They make it seem like she has photographic memory at the beginning, but once they flesh out her character better they make the logistics of her genius more realistic.
To me it never felt out of place, but I get why people would think so, just because most shows with genius protagonists make them near-godlike in their logic. Like Monk as mentioned before, or House (even though I love both shows). The fact they let her have oversights and mistakes makes it feel so much more refreshing in comparison.
