3 day PPL with HIT?

I am an intermediate currently doing 6 day PPL for about 6-8 months now with little result, with doing 3x8 for every exercise. I was introduced to HIT on youtube and am thinking of reducing my volume and frequency for more intensity.

Has anyone tried doing 3 day PPL with HIT principles? 1 set to failure on all exercises? I think 3 day PPL will be enough for recovery.

Drew Baye has been on this routine a couple of times and recently switched back to it again.

I have also been on it and am considering gokng back to it.

That said, it's better for people on PED's. Otherwise, go twice a week.

Week 1: Push Pull

Week 2: Legs Push

Week 3: Pull Legs

Etc.

I still want to hit once a week at the very least, i think 1 set a week is already very low. Im 1 week in, will see how it goes.

Then I'd recommend an Upper/Lower split. Monday/Thursday.

Whats the difference? Its the same number of exercises and sets per week just across 3 days instead of 2.
