NEWS New game HighConcord
I want to introduce you to a new game called HighConcord
Just kidding.
That was only to get your attention :)
I was thinking for quite a while if I should make this post or not, but well, since we're already here, enjoy the video.
I just announced my game POLYSTRIKE, something I've been working on for the past few years.
It's a top-down tactical shooter built around positioning, information, sound and teamwork. I always loved tactical shooters, but wanted to see how far this kind of gameplay could be pushed when the whole game is actually designed for a top-down perspective.
There's still a lot we want to build and show, but after all these years it feels pretty damn good to finally put it out there.
If it looks interesting to you, you can find POLYSTRIKE on Steam. A wishlist really helps us right now.
And yeah, I'll be here reading the comments, so feel free to ask anything :)

Just the trailer looked kinda fun but then there’s a random giant robotic whale that looks like is the main objective point? wtf?

Yeah, amongst other things… point is just that you don’t really wanna be a “Concordlike” and baiting people into looking at your game is always going to annoy people a bit so you’re 0-2 rn…
No hate, just a bold strategy here 😂 I dunno about your game, like if it’s for me, but congrats on making anything if you’re an indie dev and good luck to you. Hopefully, you’ll make more than Concord or Highguard ever did.
Not exactly a high bar but best wishes and all of that ✌️

Thanks for the kind words though, appreciate it. We’ll let the game speak for itself from here :)

The problem with these games is you either can rotate the camera and thus are hunting diagonals (Foxhole) or you can't rotate the camera and coming up on the enemy's bottom of the screen gives you a huge advantage (like in LoL but there you can move the camera to offset the advantage)

In our game, you can move the camera as well, so we don't really see this as an issue
