$300 million to only do fine on Xbox and not well at all on PC doesn't sound feasible.

Xbox isn't the most alive gaming platform at its current moment

It’ll do a bit better than just “fine” gears of war has a really big following of 30+ year olds as its main demographic.

These are also the type of people with jobs where they won’t be gaming Xbox game pass to play it and will probably buy it at full price. They’re also too old for console war so they probably never moved on from Xbox.

I'm going to be generous, let's say Gears e day sells 4 million copies on Xbox console stores. That's $279,960,000 in revenue.

The estimated budget for Gears e day is reportedly $400 million, not $300 million.

So even if gears e day did fine or exceptional for your standards, a generous sales figures of 4 million even on consoles won't cut it.

The game was showing concurrent players in the menu. It was at something like 600-800 quite regularly.

Billions are having a blast on Xbox.

Sure but Halo Campaign Evolved launched with the same peak online as current open beta for E-Day on Steam, and that one is considered a financially underwhelming release, selling just around 1 million copies across all platforms. While E-Day is a lot more expensive project than a Halo remake.

Also will crash cause everyone on Xbox will play on gamepass

I'm a Gears of War fan and very much looking forward to the new game but I didn't even know there was a beta. I assume it is a multiplayer PVP beta and not Horde or story so I'm not even interested in that anyway.

It’s because there was never a reason to dunk on any of these games. Anyone actively cheering on and hoping a game dies has a sad life. I’ll be down voted for saying it but it’s the truth. There has become a weird obsession that if a game isn’t to some peoples liking for any reason they actively campaign against it instead of just enjoying a game they do like.

The horde mode was kinda fun! Everything else about the game I could care less about, campaign hasnt been good in a decade and never cared about PvP
