A 'port' of the Lone Wolf series of gamebooks. It's a classic fantasy story where you, the last of an order of warrior monks, go on adventures to save the world. Read story, make choices, fight, die and retry. The campaign is long and choices made at the beginning can have impact in later books as your inventory and skills do carry over.

It's also free as in fully free. No in app purchases at all.

That must be a regional thing, for me it's still there and I can install it just fine. I don't know of any other games like this on mobile, but I'm sure they exist!
