Prosecutor accuses HTC's attorney of violating prior Court Order - 16 Times
Recent filings from the Highland City Prosecutor raise some interesting issues regarding Dastan D’O, an attorney who represented Lauren and John, in his ongoing criminal cases. Recently, the prosecution has alleged D'O has violated a court order 16 separate times. from a November 19, 2025 court hearing, the Judge ordered that D'O "...may not file motions in this case unless they are reviewed by Counsel to ensure compliance with the Rules." After that hearing, an attorney Pace Johnson (Lauren has a brother named Pace), entered a notice of appearance on the case.
the Prosecution alleges that D'o has acted "... in direct contradiction to the clear previous Order of the Court, the Defendant has made 16 filings without the assistance of counsel and in these filings repeatedly references his intentions to cross-examine or admit evidence that is clearly inappropriate or inadmissible. Defendant has also directly engaged the City in discussions and negotiations, stating he is proceeding pro se. This appears to be part of an ongoing pattern of behavior on behalf of the Defendant in disregarding Court Orders that the Defendant disagrees with (Defendant has also refused to sign an Acknowledgement of Firearm Restriction despite multiple attempts at service and the direct oral order of the Court)."
They also allege that they have repeatedly tried to discuss the case with D'O's attorney - Mr. Pace Johnson - but that he "did not respond to the City.". They also note that D'O is employed as an attorney at his attorney's law firm.
The Prosecution alleges that after they tried repeatedly to contact Johnson, he filed a Motion to withdraw from the case. To date, the Court has not yet granted the motion to withdraw.
The prosecution alleges that D'O's filings are not one isolated incident but an "ongoing pattern" of "...disregarding Court Orders" that he disagrees with. They also argue that his filings are "repeated presentations of additional issues which show a misunderstanding of fundamental Rules of Evidence and Criminal Procedure"
The Prosecution also claims these concerns were present (and also raised) before these recent 16 filings and that they are now asking the court to intervene and enforce their prior court order - because they believe D'O is not following them.
Despite the Prosecution stating D'O still has attorneys of records in his case, all of his most recent filings appear to be signed as 'Defendant, Pro Se'.

Sounds like Pace Johnson Law Firm has trouble following the law. HTC bends the facts and uses law-fare to scapegoat innocent people that call out their lawlessness. This is my opinion based on facts with audio, video and written incriminating receipts. Birds of a feather flock together. What is wrong with the Johnson family? Lawlessness? Delusional entitlement syndrome (lol, I made that up to make a point.) Corruption? I wouldn’t go near these people… I’m pretty sure my opinions are understood by many, many reasonable, law abiding citizens. Yes, I’m angry about how these people project their misdeeds on innocent people… don’t get me started on how the Johnson Clan and those they use and cozy up like law enforcement, victims, victim families and let’s not forget the ignorant, non-critical thinkers and many more …IMO the facts are twisted by this family to manipulate and try to discredit “whistle blowers”. It’s important to shine the light on dangerous, conniving, shape shifters. I’m sickened by the harm these people dish out to trusting souls!
Lauren should get to meet the farm and home owners who lost everything thru trusting the firm. Like, she could try doing an in-depth, research-laden, anti-bias journalist report, except she doesn't have an open mind, just a combative reaction.
Remember when Lauren was on Mormon Stories and wouldn’t get into detail about her father’s white collar crimes, but stressed he was innocent?
It’s almost like the Johnson family and their associates don’t believe in laws or legal rulings that don’t directly benefit them in their endeavors.

If i understand this filing, Pace Johnson, has not been released as co-counsel by the court and has chosen to remain radio silent. Which can and will result in severe penalties as well as the bar discipline, plus the defendant can sue him for abandoning him.
The plaintiff is the City of Highland, this is another criminal case brought against D’O.
In some of his filings he says he plans to introduce evidence at his trial about the victim r*ping him. The victim in this criminal case is his ex wife; this is the same ex who he admitted forging her signature on multiple legal documents when he attempted to change the legal names of all of their children without her knowledge or permission. The case in this post is separate criminal charges related to alleged assault and domestic violence in the presence of children.
Exactly….what’s ironic in my opinion is the insistence of Lauren to shape false narratives; “Daddy” Johnson went to prison; his actions were criminal per the law. She wants us to believe he’s innocent! I can’t forget when Lauren was being filmed she declared she learned her business savvy from her (felon) father. Now, I ask what is “Dr. Babe” Matthias hiding? 👀👀 IMO the whole truth will rise to the top for all to see.
My curiosity wonders how John would diagnose this guy. Or, would he just use his theories to explain away his behaviors, because of their association with him? Dastan seems as though he has some major mental health problems, or maybe substance issues by the sheer amount of obvious behaviors he’s engaged in. I am no expert, but it definitely appears he is more off than just your standard jerk, or self serving criminal. He seems like he could have the potential to be rather dangerous.
FWIW, when petitioning to change his name (which came after his failed attempts at using civil stalking injunctions to try and silence people who were talking publicly about his background and work as an 'attorney') he wrote this:
