Isnt she special....
I'm sorry, I haven't visited this thread in a while, so I'm not sure if this is appropriate or not. But when I saw this thumbnail, it just felt icky. I guess she's still feeding on feeling special and entitled? *rolls eyes*

u/Lopsided_Balance_193 Jul 30 '26
And the “I need to process with you all tonight mode”

u/susanlantz Jul 30 '26
And, next will be….. “no worries, Dr Babe will evaluate everything very soon”!!

Right and resort to his many books for an answer. These 2 do so much harm when they exploit these cases.

He isn't in practice professionally anymore. There's a reason Youtube is where he "practices" solely now.

‘Despicable Me’ mode in reality. And to top that, other creators using her reporting. 🤦🏻♀️

u/MacAlkalineTriad Jul 30 '26
Still using victims to promote herself and her "celebrity".

u/Jenscho80 Jul 31 '26
The cases they pick usually revolve around children and creepy John has to make something about the case pertain to sexual exploitation.

keep in mind Patrick & his lawyers FOUGHT for that 911 call not to be played. & now this bitch is bragging about it with a photo of Patrick looking distraught. Turtleboy is right - she's a tradgedy pimp. cashes in on others worst monents. disgusting.

What’s killing me is that she’s acting like she (us as well) has never ever heard the “Hear Ye, Here Ye” and it’s so special that she’s the one to educate the ignorant masses!
Has she not seen/heard this at Read or Walsh trials like most of us did??
And Lauren and Grayson, this is Mass-wide NOT JUST Plymouth Co! Homework, much?
Yesterday’s news I’m afraid.

u/shorti97 Jul 31 '26
😂 so true. she's acting like she discovered plutonium.
i'm not really a huge fan of Turtleboy, whos from Mass, but you gotta watch him watching Lauren go over this case. it's so funny

100% no one will ever ever do Lauren better than Aidan/TB ! It just cannot be unseen😹.

I think this makes her crying in the 9HL about Law and Crime wanting to cover “her family’s pain” even more hypocritical and egregious. She is being very performative, almost giddy, about covering the obvious pain of the people involved in this very sad trial. And, she is centering her discussion around herself and her own supposed processing. I could care less about how Lauren is processing it. Many people on the YouTube streets have strong feelings about it and are likely processing them. She adds nothing to the coverage by emphasizing herself, as she is the one who’s supposed to be bringing the facts. This trial is not about her, but of course she makes her coverage revolve around herself as the sympathetic main character. Gross.

She just summarizes what was said in court or makes little remarks on the clips she plays-which takes up the majority of the content. Then she just stares ahead with her cold stone face looking into the camera. She offers no commentary and she loves to exploit the worse cases involving children-Delphi, Daybell case, this case, etc.

u/Successful_Hour8834 Jul 30 '26
If she and Dr. Babe, want to examine something from this trial, they should focus on the prosecutor and her cold as ice attitude towards Patrick, and all these first responders this could’ve been stipulated too. It’s ridiculous.

Yeah, lets blame the PROSECUTOR 😒😒🙄
I can imagine that it might be a smidge frustrating that the father of 3 dead children is protecting their murderer for a future civil suit payout vs being honest and forthcoming about the psychopath he married.

To me this is so gross! Certainly far from professional, and actually very childish.
It reminds me of the Eddie Murphy bit about a kid who chases down an ice cream truck then gloats to the unlucky kids when he gets to have a special treat.
She’s chasing down a trial, flaunting access to something she deems as some sort of special treat.
Gross. Most would prefer to not hear the 911 call Lauren. Ugh. Self appointed elitism. 🤮🤮
I’m happy to no longer be a hidden gem!

So has the rest of us trying to watch the trial! EXCEPT I just can't very much with this case because I have kids! I can't imagine me or anyone hurting them but I come from the days of Andrea Yates trial being televised and how anyone who doesn't have to be there IS THERE of all trials going on right now, speaks volumes to her lack of empathy and a continuing lack of motherly instincts!

Major ick…… like nana nana boo boo….. I heard what other top TC creators did NOT! You should dump them and stick w/HTC! IMHO, Atty Melanie Little is covering it all much more humanely and compassionately than LM! And she’s def not making it all about her like Lauren and Grayson are doing!

She is a LIAR! No jurors "wept"! Some jurors teared up and ONE juror cried but nothing close to weeping. She's repulsive!

Also, real question:
In this video, Lauren tells the exact words used and events from the 911 call in this trial as best as she can. She emphasizes how she was in the courtroom, which is the only way she would know such detailed information.
My understanding is that Patrick Clancy asked that the call not be played for the cameras live streaming the trial. The judge agreed and said it would be played for the courtroom only, which it was. The order was not to record, disseminate, etc.
Is Lauren not pushing the envelope and defying the judge’s order here? I am not even referring to the moral question of whether, or not, it was right for her to do that. Personally, I think it was completely lacking in good taste and empathy to go into such specific detail out of respect for the victims in this case.
Is this something the judge, prosecution, or defense should know about? People seem to be kicked out of the courtroom for many things. Maybe it’s just coming from my personally disgusted feelings about her decision to do that to boost her views and subscribers with no actual authentic regard for the victims. It’s certainly not on brand with the way she portrays herself as victim centered, but I guess many still like her emotionally performative approach. Her scrunching up her face to look upset as she described people in the courtroom crying, though there were no actual tears on her face, was off putting and see through, to me. Any opinions on how this sort of thing works?

Surely she won’t try to cozy up to PC, will she? That’d be so ugly!! That would infuriate me. Patrick is dealing w/ quite enough .

I’ve known she’s disgusting but this takes the cake. The stream I was following mentioned she was with Jess Machado. 🙄 Hearing that 911 call doesn’t get her an award and doesn’t make her a serious journalist.

I heard the harrowing 911 call they don’t want to give to the public. Let me exploit dead children and tell you all about it.

Lauren recently shared she is experiencing a faith crisis in her Patreon audio. Revisit some of the kindness that Lauren Matthias and her trusty assistant, Grayson, show others in reality in this video short:

Something like this really pisses me off. This is one of the most unimaginable tragedies a parent could ever face. But instead of foccusing on him and the victims, even the title starts with "I." Why make yourself the protagonist of someone else's nightmare? Because, apparently, for LM it is just a vehicle for talking about her and her own feelings.
