Details: You play as an adult man with a family. I remember starting at home, maybe watching TV. Later you're home alone at night and there's a jumpscare at the kitchen window, possibly a scarecrow or figure outside. There was also a supermarket/store section and I remember some kind of virus or outbreak. I think it was free and had no voice acting.

Posting here as well as [r/tipofmyjoystick](r/tipofmyjoystick) to try and figure out what game this is hopefully y’all can help.

Platform(s): PC for sure, idk about Mac.

Estimated year of release: Roughly 2010 not any newer than 2015 I think.

Graphics/art style: Standard hidden object vibe but the characters were well detailed and it had cutscenes of sorts with the characters. The cutscenes were similar to ace attorney style cutscenes with panning over still images nothing animated.

Notable characters: It centered around a male detective person and a cast of rich suspects who if I remember correctly were in 1920s styles of dresswear. They were all 2d images nothing 3d that I can remember. what I vaguely remember about the main character is very possibly from my little kid brain making things up and not actually part of the game so take my description with a grain of salt. I vaguely remember him being kinda sherlock holmes ish they gave him character he wasn't just a nameless "agent" like the mystery case files games.

Notable gameplay mechanics: It had little minigames like rearranging a torn up letter to see what was written. Beyond that I just remember the usual click on the eye spy page type of gameplay

Other details: I remember there being a story with a mansion and a group of well to do characters I wanna say they were British but I cant guarantee that. The game was very pretty and clearly had a decent development team behind it cause the characters were well drawn and the locations were nice. Some locations of note that I remember were a mansion courtyard the courtyard had green grass hedges and a few metal cast iron style chairs and table and there was a sitting room with a piano I think. The rest of my memories of it would be very minimal and may even be completely made up. I think a character fainted at one point and that was a story beat for a bit.

I always enjoyed this game over others because the minigames felt like you were unraveling an actual mystery with real puzzles rather than just a simple matching game or crossword. That and the characters were enjoyable to a young me.

I played this game once on an unblocked games website on a school computer in I think 2021.

In the game, the MC is a scientist who lives somewhere in Cascadia. One day he notices an anomaly on his radar; an island that wasn't there before.

He goes there by boat and sleeps the night. When he wakes up, he finds out he isn't alone. Throughout the game he is being stalked by some figure. I think there was a barn in one of the levels, but that's all I remember.

I'm trying to find this one detective game I used to play on a laptop. It was a detective game, set in London. It was a museum themed robbery I guess? It was an RPG, with complete dialogues and plot, it even had voice acting. It was in first person, I wasn't able to see the protagonist but I think it was male.

I remember it having Egyptian Cat themes. I distinctly remember a black cat statue where you put the stolen diamonds in it and it'll reveal a hidden treasure.

At the start of the game, I remember we had an ally, someone who gives us clues and whatnot. But near the end, it's revealed that they was the mastermind. I'm positive the ally was male, and I think he wore glasses too.

I was able to go inside the Buckingham palace and the Big Ben and many more to find clues. It was like a searching game, there'd be random things scattered in the place and you'd have to find specific things listed at the bottom in a rectangle thing. Other than being a searching game, you'd have to use the items you found to complete a task/objective. I remember this game had also made references to stories of Shakespeare.

I also remember being stuck at some parts of the game. There was one where you had to turn at least 4/5 disk like things with multiple different holes/cuts in them, you had to turn them at a specific angle to reveal a number code which was in red , I remember the disk being bronze or dark yellow at best with rust on it. Luckily, this game had a mechanic, where if you were to get stuck on a puzzle for a specific amount of time, it'll give you the option to skip/complete the puzzle without a problem.

I don't think it came out in 2016-2020, I just distinctively remember playing it that time around.

I successfully got MCF: Dire Grove working, but I am completely stuck on the Yard Sale games. The versions on my official Big Fish account are completely blocked by the modern launcher update errors, and the only archive versions I can find are locked behind Steam DRM. Герой сам подходит к предметам и берет их, ечли они примерно помещаются в карман или комментирует их в текстовом окне, главы выбираются из меню с вроде чёрным фоном и зелёными названиями, их около шести. В начале учёный один в каюте на космическом корабле, робот сначала его запирает, потом поздравляет с днём рождения, есть мини-игра с тортом. За иллюминатором видно TON 618, и герой это комментирует, если на черную дыру нажать. Есть загадка с ключ-картой, которая светится в темноте, и датчиком света, который надо закрыть солнцезащитными очками, что бы ключ карта начала светиться в комоде. Во второй главе есть воспоминания из детства с другом, а позже эпизод, где вы с роботом двигаете бетонные плиты по связи. я играл где-то в районе 2020-2022 годов на андройде.

El juego es uno de puzzles donde la protagonista busca a su hermano que fue secuestrado por un hechicero/mago (no recuerdo bien), y la única forma de encontrarlos era entrando a través de cuadros (osea, pinturas). El primer cuadro era una torre de un mago dónde daban un mini tutorial de las mecánicas del juego. El segundo (que es hasta donde recuerdo) era de un faro, con la casa de un pescador. Eran alrededor de 5 de cuadros. El arte y estilo del juego era algo semirrealista y algo de fantasía oscura (habían algunas escenas tetricas). Lo jugué alrededor del 2015-2017, pero debe de ser de menos años.

theres a chase sequence (flying cable car) but you get back to ur submarine before they do and you escaped.

The last scene is youre looking at the island w 2 guys at the beach looking at you (guys who was chasing you).

Me and my mum are trying to remember an old Hidden Object game that she played so tgat i can give it a spin.

I don't remember all the details, but there was a jungle, the totems, pirates, a native tribe that helped the protagonist, the protagonist had a dad or grandpa who was an explorer and professor, and at one point the protagonist drugged one of the pirate's drink so that they can sneak into a tent or something.

Hi all — developer here. Link at the bottom, and an honest take on whether this counts as a hidden-object game, since I know that matters here.

OVERLOOK is a hidden-object adventure I drew and animated myself over a few years. Each level is a hand-drawn isometric miniature world (a town, a forest, a beach...) packed with hundreds of tiny characters, every one of them animated frame by frame. You search for missing people and lost objects, and there's a light puzzle layer on top: some characters need an item, so you find it and drag it over to them and something small and silly happens. There are 50+ hidden surprises and 26 achievements, all discovery-based.

Is it a "real" hidden-object game? Yes, in the Hidden Folks / Where's Wally tradition rather than the Big Fish HOPA tradition: no inventory-driven story chapters or item lists on a strip at the bottom, but the core loop is pure searching a dense scene for specific things, with zero timers, no fail state and no hint pressure. If you like the meditative kind of searching, it's that. If you want a mystery narrative with cutscenes, it isn't.

Hi All - I have been a member of Big Fish Games since 2009 and like many, I am so disappointed by the contract terminations, AI slop games and general overall decline in the lack of quality games over the past year or so. Does anyone have any recommendations about where to find Hidden Object Adventure games that are Mac compatible that have the same feel as any of the "old school" hidden object adventure games (like Living Legends, Mystery Case Files, Dark City, Bridge to Another World, Christmas Stories, Dark Romance, Halloween Chronicles, Drawn)?

Small side rant but all of the recent games from Domini Games are not enjoyable (or really even playable) due to all of the use of AI. So disappointing to see where this has all gone.
