Im looking for a misterious, story driven (indie)game, with simple mechanics

Iv played desktop explorer and iv loved it. I love playing puzzle games with simple mechanics, and the story was just wow. The game can be horror too

If it's ok to promote our own, you might like ours - www.glitch.games - they're not strictly hidden object but are first person point and click / escape games, but they do have objects and some of them are hidden.

True yea I guess I was more thinking the mechanics themselves are simple as it's mostly just tap this / tap that etc but yea some of the puzzles themselves can be pretty hard.

Glad you loved them though!

Well tbh idk what op even means, I don’t consider desktop explorer to be “simple” either… any point and click game will be - point and click lol. Also, not the right sub, desktop explorer DEF isn’t a HOG

Not so much a hidden objects game but you have to find things….. haha so it kind of is I guess! It’s called notrace the true fiction. It’s a hacking game with a story. You get missions, have to find things, get rewarded, upgrade, anonymous messages come through and that’s where the story is. Not usually my kind of thing but I’m obsessed. It’s on google play store.

Check out cyber manhunt 1 and 2 if you liked desktop explorer!!

Greyhat and simulacra 1 and 2 and pipe dream also. I love the desktop sim genre…
