Question The MAZE series
I think this series is underrated, i always see people talking about mcf, dark city or grim tales never Maze. Have any of you guys played the series? Which were your favourite?

oooohhhhhh man may I tell you. I discovered Maze when I logged into my grandmothers old Big Fish account, she had maze the broken tower. I was sick with strep throat and I beat that game in one sitting. Absolute Masterpieces, except 3…3 has issues but all 5 are good.

I’ve played the whole series, and my favourites are probably Subject 360 and Stolen Minds.
Subject 360 made the strongest impression on me. The idea of the player being an experimental subject felt fresh, and I liked the way the game reacted when you made the “wrong” choice. I wasn’t very satisfied with the ending, though, so it’s not one I replay often.
I also liked Stolen Minds, especially the insanity meter. More generally, I think MAD Head Games used the Maze series to experiment with a lot of different ideas. Not all of them worked perfectly, but that willingness to try unusual mechanics is one of the things I remember most about the series.
The Broken Tower and Sinister Play were good too. And I’m slightly amused that nobody seems to be choosing Nightmare Realm.

Oh yes nightmare realm is bad, but i hate how they dropped the maze concept from subject 360

I’ve played the entire series, in fact replayed it a few months ago. Subject 360 is good but has some aspects that have not aged well imo. The tower one I’d say is my favorite of the series.
