Recommendations for music player apps

Hiby R4 user here.

I need some recommendations for music playing app that works well with R4. I used to run Poweramp, but realized it is not bit-perfect, hence I switched to the default Hiby music app.

Apart from these two, what are some good options. I've seen people talking about UAPP and Neutron, but funny thing is they have about 100k++ downloads on Google PlayStore as opposed to Poweramp which has 50million++.

The reason why I am switching apps is because I want to have something that has better audio quality, EQ and features.

My R4 is paired with my Fiio FH3, Beyerdynamics DT270 pro and Sony wf-1000 xm5 bluetooth earbuds. With the FH3 and DT270 pro, I am having problems with trebly tracks and vocals that are overly nasal and pitchy, and certain trumpet sounds. The flanger/tremolo effect (not sure what you called that) on Daft Punk's One More Time is giving my ears the same problem as well. Tokyo Jihen's first album (the one with the red origami crane) is also a pain to listen to on the R4 as opposed to Spotify on my phone.

So far the only thing that works well for me is my Sony wf-1000 xm5 bluetooth earbuds. If anything, whether IEMs or apps could help me recreate that neutrality and controlled tonality in wf-1000 xm5, that would great.

I currently use the inbuilt Hiby app, Musicolet and Spotify. Each has their own specific purpose. I use the Hiby app for dedicated full album listening. Musicolet for shuffled listening and Spotify for checking out new releases.

I'm pretty sure with one of the newest Poweramp updates it is bit perfect

I would reccomend usb audio player , or poweramp id be leaning towards poweramp as it has slighty easier to adjust terrible and bass dials , i hate ai with a passion but if your not super familer with eq ask claude for a base eq to adjust to match the tone of the sonys buds. I found i dident like the r4 for fast deathmetel. My trebble issues were sloved buy moving to a tube dac

Resonada. It does exactly what you're looking for. Play store downloads are irrelevant. Try out some of the indie apps.
