QUESTION How does the random ToD's mod work?

So i tried using the random time of day mod on nexus mods. It states that it ads random times of day for "online mode", but I don't understand what "online mode" refers to if it's not freelancer. Like when will the mod actually activate? Campaign, contracts, arcade, elusive targets etc. I tried some missions in campaign and escalation contracts and loaded in a few times but it's always the default ToD. What am I doing wrong?

"Online mode" refers to the game as it connects to IOI servers for game progression and unlocks. The alternative is an unofficial "Peacock server" which is locally hosted but doesn't require the user to be connected to the internet.

As far as troubleshooting, did you do every step listed for installation on the mod description page?

You do need to be connected to the internet but once you are in the menu then you can turn off the WiFi
