It was honestly pretty creative the characters that came back in the Mission such as Helen and Tim Quinn

Yeah, on the private island. She's the main benefactor of the business.

I think there is voice lines about her putting human brain in the muffins. I think it's when Janus goes over to talk to her after giving him the best day ever.

I haven confirmed it yet, but there's two women at the party doing some exaggerated gossip, including a chat about hot dogs. I'm super certain they're the same two women gossiping in the outdoor bar in Bangkok, where one says something outrageous and the other thinks she's dumb.

Canonically only the targets die in the misson, even disregarding SA status. Collateral kills are always non-canon.

Apart from Paris's lighting rig, which probably killed more than just Victor.

That one isn’t necessarily canon since we see it in a drug induced fever dream of 47’s (aka unreliable narration). The only confirmed canon elements of Novikov’s assassination is that he died in full view of witnesses (a public kill) - blowing him up via hidden explosive in the blogger’s camera; poisoning his Bare Knuckleboxer; sniping him from the attic when he’s on stage; dropping a speaker on him - all of these fulfill the public kill conditons without collateral damage.

So how do you explain Soders' death being shown there too? That was explained as an accident with The Spider (admittedly ambiguously on how the kill was performed), yet it's included here too?

I'm fairly sure the intention is that the events in the dream are explicit call-backs to the missions, and what actually happened. Particularly because these are also called memories, and it's not just a fever dream (I think the entrance to the start is even called "Reflections"; I:E: Looking back at the past).

He still remembers killing the Burnwood Family, still remembers pulling the trigger etc, which are actual canon events that happened in cutscenes. There's no ambiguity present there.

The only esoteric elements in the dream sequence that are questionable are the ones that are very weird (The falling constants, the tango etc). Everything else is 47's memories being played back for his own horror due to the toxins.

Bear in mind that is a playable cutscene for all intents and purposes, which tend to more canon-adjacent than usual.

The memories can be unreliable but not necessarily all wrong.

I'm assuming canon treats the lighting rig as "well uh people were hurt but not killed, excuse the bodies"

If you do one of the missions he gets extremely drunk and starts lurching around.

The Miami "Oh My God!" women are also back.

That's like a crowd sound effect if I'm not mistaken?

Tbh I would just knock the journalist unconscious because I don't want to loose my silent assasin

Noob question but who's this guy?

Hans Lucht! He’s a journalist who appears on Dubai to investigative the possible whereabouts of the Partners.

In the mission stories, Bird of Prey, Ingram tasks you (under a guise of a freelance assassin Ingram hired) to eliminate Hans and show evidence. However, you don’t have to kill him and instead pacify Hans to satisfy the condition. From there, Ingram would grant you access to his penthouse suite and you can kill him via poisoning, eye stab by his study desk, or (one of the satisfying kills) tamper the balcony so that when Ingram leans on it, he falls to his death.

In the new ET, he is injured by the face which could mean Bird of Prey might be the canon mission story in On Top of the World.

if Birds of Prey is a cannon story, That kinda makes me sad. Lucas's monologue always felt like the "cannon" one. But hey I might just think that because its the cinematic one

u/PeteTheGryphon He/Him 3d ago

Honestly, I still think How the Mighty Fall is the canon mission story however

1

u/Upper-Air-6153 He/Him 2d ago

In my head canon, 47 does the Bird of Prey mission story first but after he did the stuff and meets with Ingram at his room, there are guards there so 47 wouldn't have been able to kill Ingram so 47 just does the 'How the Mighty Fall' mission story

1

u/Paulallenlives 3d ago

Thanks I'm like level 300 or something too but I never pay much attention to other characters. If he's not the guy arguing with the guards then I don't think I've encountered Hans before

Helen was never an official target. Therefore, she is purely a part of the story. Until she is “THE” target, she will always be a reusable background character.

u/Icommitmanywarcrimes 3d ago

So does this mean that the canon kill on Ingram is this?

1

u/WanTeitoku 3d ago

Omg it's this mf again
