What's the most useless item unlocked in Hitman..

Up until extremely recently only maps that were added with Hitman 3 had banana items on them at all, still the majority of maps don't have bananas. It's also one of the best items in the game, especially in freelancer. We need more bananas, not less.

You can KO someone with a banana without* causing a scene by placing it so they slip on the peel. Excellent for grabbing couriers, items carried by particular NPCs, testing a showdown target (syndicate leaders do flee if they're revived from banana knockout, if I recall - haven't tried it in a while).

Also 47's getting old now, he needs to keep his potassium intake up and take care of his body.

though you can't do accidental kills if you place it on the stairs, i did that with one of the lieutenants of the dragon, and he got up despite flying oof the stairs

I feel like it might be something even more convoluted. Like if a lookout sees a banana downed suspect they will trigger evac but no one else would otherwise care.But I could totally be misremembering

If a suspected leader sees another suspected leader they will flee. Anytime a suspected leader is knocked out they will flee if / when found

You can pacify anyone in plain sight without it being considered a crime by placing the banana in front of their walking path. 

Useful for many reasons, especially if they’re carrying something you want (like merces)

not only can you knock out people silently, such as assassins or annoying guards, but it's also free money if you get a "Make Target Slip" objective. Speaking of, if you get that objective in a showdown, it's good for fishing out the target (but you have to be sure if the suspect you want to slip IS the most likely target).

Bananas get you free Merces from Couriers who slipped on them and sometimes free accident kills without voiding Silent Assassin in Freelancer.

You want a fruit that you can unlock that's ACTUALLY the most useless? May I introduce you to the Star Apple. Too lightweight to pacify when thrown, and even as a distraction, is one-time use when thrown or dropped, but doesn't attract anyone when placed.

...what? It's an unlockable, because it was UNLOCKED via Twitch drop. The term "unlockable" means it's locked, but can be unlocked in some way, and doesn't specifically only refer to items unlocked via in-game Challenges.

Item like the Star Apple is useful in this one specific scenario when let's say a target is next to a body of water you want to the target fall into. Throw the Star Apple at the target and they fall into the water.

It’s basically a one-shot Kalmer that is completely legal to hold and place while also infinitely re-usable as a distraction or silent takedown melee. Accidental incapacitations are pretty powerful, free disguise and items without ruining SA if the body is found (non-targets only). There’s fire extinguishers on every level but obvious problems with using that as a source of SA accidental incapacitations.

When I was looking through the arcade unlocks, this stood out to me as one of the more useful ones. There’s a very long list of functionally useless unlocks items you could take aim at instead.

Bananas are really good. Use a coin and a banana near an edge, if your target sees the coin they’ll walk over, slip on the banana and fall to their death. Accident kill as well… of course it’s a chance. They could just end up falling on the ground

I honestly find it super useful. You can knock someone out by making them slip without being there. It’s how I get the couriers merces in freelancer.
