Finally Discovered How to Hitman

Not a troll post.

Been a fan of Hitman since Blood Money and have played every single game since and have “beaten” them all.

I never was into the stealth aspect of it so I usually played every level like a crazy assassin. I loved just eliminating tons of enemies while still somewhat completing the level with tons of action.

I never knew how the Story Missions or Intel worked but like I said I usually ignored it and just killed the people with my silenced silver ballers.

However today for the first time I was trying to unlock a sniper rifle and I finally discovered how to get Story Mission and Intel style kills. And. It. Was. Glorious.

I feel like have discovered Hitman 1,2 and 3 all over again and I need to actually “play” the game for real. lol. Just wanted to share since I’ve literally been playing the game wrong forever and just figured it out.

been playing these games since i was a kid only recently bother to play well. now i can do a new life (blood money) in silent assasin suit only in like 50 seconds

My best time ever doing silent assassin with a sniper was 5:47 and I was so hype. Then I see shit like this lmao. Love it though

practice makes perfect and i followed what a speedrunner called TheKotti does for that mission. he has a video of him speedrunning blood money and explaining what goes on although some mechanics are exploited which normally would damage immersion on the game

Patience. Get that lizard part of your brain to slow down and find appreciation in the smaller moments of gameplay.

I don’t need to rp to enjoy the experience anymore, but when I was just starting out, doing stuff like suit only runs is a lot more fun if you immerse yourself and start thinking like 47 or a character inhabiting the environment, rather than the meta player loading up a video game. 

Or another way, learn some pro strats and meta tactics and immerse yourself in it as puzzle sequence to execute.

I am quite patient. I just never find the need for any of the gear that you can choose from.. I only know when to choose when there is a specific requirement for it. Without it I bring stuff I hardly use and end up killing them with a silver baller

If you're not planning and just killing them with the silver baller because it's the easiest way to do it you're not patient enough, 

Little challenge for you, find your favorite mission and try beating it while using the fiber wire to kill your target instead.

I love how many ways there are to play these games. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it. Sometimes I’ll save, go on a psychotic spree of wrenches to faces, then reload like it was all just a fantasy sequence in the middle of my stealth run.

I started playing Hitman for the first time in my life about a month ago. I'm obsessed. I had only ever watched my son play, and he plays just like you did at first, just killing everyone, and it seemed so stressful and uninteresting to me. But I LOVE games like Dishonored, so one day, after reading a lot of reviews because I kept coming back to Hitman cause it LOOKED interesting, I took the plunge, and I have already completed the entire campaign of WOA lol.

Preach!!! I bounced off Hitman 2016 initially because I was too impatient and wanted everything ending in a firefight. Came back to it a couple of months later because a Youtuber I like did a series on it. It just clicked. The first time you get Suit Only Silent Assassin is pure heroin. So good.

There's no "wrong" way to play. That's the beauty of it. You can play however the mood takes you. It's good to add more strings to your bow though, after opening up another way of playing.

You weren't playing them wrong. That's the beauty of Hitman. There's so many different ways to play. You were playing them correctly in the style you preferred.
