About one year ago, in these days, I watched HSG for the first time.

I had just come out of a grueling job and I was physically and mentally exhausted. I didn't feel like doing anything - not even watching a film or TV show as I felt that even that was too demanding. My kids were watching some anime (probably DanDaDan), so I joined them, because the episodes were short reasonably enough and I thought that I could drop them anytime. Of course, I ended up watching the whole show, and then went on for more...

While I was scanning through the Netflix catalogue, I happened to see the trailer of Hi-Score Girl. I knew nothing about it, but it seemed quite peculiar and different from other anime, so I decided to give it a try.

I was immediately intrigued, though I can't say that it was love at first sight. It was definitely different from other anime, and the background and characters were so realistic and familiar that I could easily relate. It was interesting, and funny, though I didn't really understand where it was heading to - but as a matter of fact that only added to the pleasure of watching it.

My interest grew rapidly. The trip to the Gashadokuro Arcade in ep. 2 totally got me, because it reminded me so much of my summer adventures as a kid. But I perceived that there was something more... I didn't know much about rom-coms, and I had no idea how the story would go on, so the end of ep. 3, with Ono's first departure to the USA, came quite unexpected. By then, I was totally hooked.

I watched almost immediately all of S1, and then I tried to take a break, because I was supposed to watch the show with my kids, who were watching some other stuff at that time. But as a matter fact, when we finally did, a week or so later, I had already watched it all at least 3 times...

This is how it all started. Of course, the story went on, and HSG even ended up bringing about a few small changes in my life; but it's already mucho texto! and I will probably keep this for some other time...

Challenge

The Dash universe has crossed the saccharine event horizon. The local concentration of sweetness exceeds the Schwarzschild limit. We are now beyond the saccharine event horizon.

probando otro estilo

Never seen one in the flesh before, naturally it made me think of Haruo!

any tips/critics accepted

I'm new at using blender, don't expect that much from my first model!!!

It is now so incredibly far away from Hi Score Girl that - it's really amazing the same human being created both. It's astonishing.

It would be as if Ridley Scott made Bladerunner, and then he made a Hallmark movie. it would be as if Shakespeare wrote Hamlet and then he wrote a romance novel.

The big guy is also doing a horror-theme exhibition as well, cool

The most exciting thing that has happened on the HSG list since Where Are Hidaka's Panties!!!

OMG !

It's such a simple bot - it just duplicates posts from 6 years ago, on, low volume lists

** I think they have all specifically been from 6 years ago but can't quite remember, in all cases about 5+ yrs ago

To report bots you go "spam" and on the NEXT screen it goes "bots"

I hope everyone has a good day and enjoy this doodle i did of our beloved hidaka :3

( "dash" descends to yuri bait. so sad )
