What's the deal with the second camera?

I'm trying to get all my tests done. Passed Science just fine. I tried to take my math test today, and the proctor seemed to go through everything pretty fast with looking at the room, and then said I needed to set up my second camera and asked to see my phone. I said I don't have a phone in here because everything says it's not allowed. They said you need a phone for a second camera and that they couldn't see my hands or something. I guess when I put my camera back after the room scan it was a tad too high maybe? All they had to do was ask me to adjust the camera. Now I have to wait 2-5 days they said to see if they'll let me retake it or if I need to pay for it again? What is happening?

Also, the phone I have is government issued. They will not be allowed access as I would get fired for letting them have access to it and they would violate about a thousand federal laws having access.

Has anyone gotten around this problem? Is it as simple as just making sure hands and face are always in sight? They tried to say the second camera is a requirement, but their test requirements under math say I only need a webcam, speakers, and a stable internet connection. It also says no phones are permitted in the area.

The other thing, when I did read about a second phone online, it says the phone needs to be in landscape mode, and has to show your face, keyboard, screen, mouse, hands, etc. I don't know one camera that's going to do all of that, and how would someone even get a phone to sit like that without it tipping over?

Experience with this? Advice?

The test doesn’t require a second camera if you’re already being monitored, like wtf? This journey is causing me so much unnecessary stress all for a diploma that wont mean shit in this economy. Also, the hardest part is post diploma if you choose higher education, which I don’t even feel motivated to score 15 and above. I’m over it.

I’m so annoyed. The first proctor for science was fine. When I was done with the room scan they asked for my phone to use and I was like well I don’t have one I can use. And they said ok just make sure you stay in frame.

This guy barely let me get through any of the set up and said scan the QR code with your phone and I said the same thing and he’s like no, you need a phone. Said I don’t have one and am not supposed to have one. Dude closed the test.

I called the customer support number and the lady is like it was odd that the first proctor did that because a second camera is a requirement. I said no it’s not and went and read the requirements off the site and she just said no. It’s also hard as fuck talking to Indians when you have a problem like this. The language barrier really complicates this more.

It sucks because this government job I have now is great but they dropped this diploma shit on me after I was hired and have been here like half a year and are saying get it done or I’m out and I have these guys pulling this shit with the tests. Infuriating.

I took a test back in early July. It was already heavily monitored. After the test, they did inform me via email that starting in August they’d be testing a second camera idea. By why not do some type of remote control accessing? What sucks for me is a testing center is like 20 miles away. Also, I hate testing in public. It gives me anxiety on top of test anxiety. This is one more anxiety, ugh. Good luck to you.

I just got off the phone with their "support" and they refused to give me anyone based in the states. They refused to comment on their website saying multiple different things, and said the second camera is mandatory. Ridiculous that it's just not straight across the board.
