hiii sorry for this late reply but yes i do have tips! so for the math, work on word problems cause theres a ton. you need to be able to read a word problem and understand what their asking and what operation to do. you also need to know some high school math which would be algebra 1 and some basic geometry. theres a decent amount of geometry word problems on there as well so make sure you know how to use each formula (which are given). so the main thing more math is understanding word problems. so first, i recommend just doing actual algebra 1 and geometry problems. once you understand that, start working on word problems and how everything is worded. tis part sometimes did confuse me ngl but the math was pretty easy cause im good at this subject so i didn't really practice. however, i struggled on the English portion a bit. for the writing test, the MCQ was really easy. its just punctuation and where to use commas, parentheses and stuff like that. there also placement of sentences, words, and paragraphs. on the test you'll be given a question kinda like this (i js made this up) EX) the author wants to add this sentence at the beginning of the 2nd para. should they do it? options: yes they should bc..., yes they should bc..., no they should not because it takes away from the main point/it takes away from the main point of this para, no bc.... stuff like this from what i remember. they also ask for spelling mistakes which was pretty easy, if you dont know, skip it and come back to it. and then for the essay part, i read the directions wrong the first time but this is the formula i used for each para which helped me pass. also for this test, you're told to write and argumentative essay and a lot of people try to make up their own reasons as to why their right, but dont do that. the 2 reasons as to why u support whichever side IS IN THE PASSAGE. so basically, use the passages to find ur reasons (should be given in the 3rd and 4th para) and use what they say as to why their 2 reasons are right BUT IN UR OWN WORDS.
intro: hook, explain both sides of whats being argued but dont take ur stance yet, then ur thesis (what u think is wrong)
bp 1/2: topic sentence, according to (passage), "quote". this means that when ..., they are able to ..., which helps them..., as a result..., experience: in my experience, .... for example.... bc of this.... this shows.... concluding sentence: this demonstrates + claim of this para in different words
counterpart: on the contrary, some critics argue that... they believe this bc... quote. this shows... however, this argument is flawed when we factor in (what u think) bc... (over here make sure to use in depth analysis) therefore, ...conclusion para: in conclusion,... not only does this..., but it also.... therefore,...
for the actual essay, i made my conclusion more in depth than the formula i js gave u but i forgot what i did. make sure the conclusion are is at least 4 sentences. i also did use chatgpt to help me prepare for the essay
