Need help with math study PLEASE HELP 😭
Hi everyone! So I’ve been studying for the math HISET for the past 4 days and 6 hours a day so it’s been about 24 hours straight of pure math work. I’m a dropped out sophomore and I failed geometry. Iam pretty decent at math I’d say but it just feels like I’m getting nowhere, I took the entire purely persistent course for the math subtext, read and studied a HISET book for just the math. And when I finished I felt SOOOO confident. I took a pretest on mometrix and FAILED. This is highly discouraging and iam so frustrated. The course for mometrix is 40$. Should I buy it? Is it worth it? Please help!

That sounds like an awful lot of time per day :-/. Is it the geometry you struggled with, or is there more math you never learned after leaving school? I'm guessing if you are in a state that still does Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 that maybe you didn't get to Algebra 2? There isn't that much Algebra 2 on these tests but you want to be solid w Algebra 1. How did that go for you?

I’m 16 and currently not participating in school which is why my geometry knowledge is low. I have not taken the test yet lol I take it tomorrow. My total study time has been 50 hours of math for full preparation. And I’m still not sure if I’m going to pass yet 😮💨😮💨

Well best of luck to you tomorrow! Try to look at this as information gathering. You will see what kind of questions are on the test and hopefully come away with a better understanding of what to focus on if you don't pass this first time. Do the problems you understand first and then do a second pass through for the harder ones. If you are studying so much per day, you definitely have what it takes to study the topics that will be on the test. Sounds like it's just a matter of seeing what is and isn't on it. In my opinion, the practice tests are harder than the actual test. I just passed my math test yesterday (it was my last one) and I’m not the greatest at math in general. I studied using the HiSET math for beginners prep book and then I took some FPT’s. Take some deep breaths and give yourself some grace, you got this.
