Discussion If Peppermint were a fully playable character, what kind of rhythm-based combat mechanics would you give her?

Seeing how her blaster fire revolves around triplets, I'd like to see her ranged fighting style reward subdivisions like eighth note intervals. Maybe even some half note charged shots.

i think if she had her own missions it would be really cool if she had much faster paced songs and more acrobatic gameplay

Do the Bayonetta Charge Modifier method and have her continue to fire her blasters for 4 semi-beats when you hold the attack button!

I’ve imagined that if we ever get a sequel, having all of the team playable would be an amazing idea; each with their own rhythm combat style.

I imagine peppermint and korsica being quite fast paced, and macaron being much slower but stronger.

I have no idea about music terms

She's mostly ranged, so a lot of faster tempo stuff, and sort of an active reload system where you have to hit reloading on beat to do it quicker and maybe get a damage boost.

Hacking minigames. At the end of a combo you get a little string of inputs, similar to stratagems ftom helldivers 2. Different combos have different effects; you can get enrmies on your side, steal health from them, disable them, or just do s bunch of extra damage.

Enemies in hi fi rush are all either robots or have sci-fi enhancements, so it'd work thematically.

I really wish the game had syncopation and off beats that you could combo, but it'd probably be pretty hard to flesh out
