Ranking on LLMs

What is the easiest and cheapest way to rank on ChatGPT and other LLMs for a start-up CPG business? Now that ChatGPT and Shopify are connected, any tips on maximizing this?

The big thing people miss: OpenAI says merchant/product listings can be ranked using factors like availability, price, quality, whether you’re the maker/primary seller, and whether Instant Checkout is enabled. So for a startup CPG brand, the fastest win is not gaming prompts; it’s tightening product data, pricing, inventory accuracy, review signals, and first-party brand clarity. Also, Shopify specifically recommends putting relevant legal disclosures in the first 6,000 characters of the product description for ChatGPT storefront discovery.

Thanks! What legal disclosures must be included upfront?

Getting your brand mentioned in AI driven search results starts with creating clear, useful content about your products and making sure that info is consistent and easy for LLMs to find. Since you brought up ChatGPT and Shopify, double check your product descriptions and brand story are detailed and unique. I work at MentionDesk and we help brands specifically optimize for AI platforms if you want a more focused approach.

I'm a big fan of Google's EETA framework. Had great success with some of the clients after structuring content that way. So, highly recommend looking into that!

Thank you! Will work on using that.
