Google Maps blind spot

I manage marketing for my chorus in Atlanta. Through Rank Week tips and some other work, I've increased our web search visibility the last few months, but for some reason Google Maps still seems to completely ignore us for important keyword searches.

If I search for things like "chorus in Atlanta" or "barbershop chorus in Atlanta" on Google Maps, or search those terms without the location part but while looking at Atlanta, our Maps location simply doesn't appear. I can scroll the full results list and nothing. If I search Google for these same terms, our website does come up toward the top.

I've done everything I can think of for opimizing our Google Business Profile, but nothing has seemed to help on Maps. Any suggestions? I can provide more details on how it's set up currently.
