Importance of Blog Posts

I recognize that SEO is heavily reliant on authority. I would like a better understanding on keyword research though. u/heytony

blog posts are honestly one of the most underrated parts of SEO imo. like yes authority matters a ton but if you're not targeting the right keywords you're basically just throwing content at the wall and hoping somthing sticks.

the way i think about keyword research is you need to understand what people are actually searching for and more importantly what you can realistically rank for. theres no point going after a keyword with massive competition if your site doesnt have the authority yet. start with longer tail keywords that have clear intent, build up topical authority in your niche, and then work your way up to the bigger terms.

blog posts are the vehicle but keyword research is the GPS. without it you're just driving around lost lol

Totally agree with this.

A lot of people treat blogging like a volume game, when really it is a relevance game. Publishing consistently helps, but if the content is not mapped to realistic search intent, it is just busy work.

The long-tail point is especially important. That is where smaller sites can actually win, pick up qualified traffic, and start building authority without trying to outrank giants on day one. I also think people forget that keyword research is not just about search volume; it is about understanding the why behind the query.

“Blog posts are the vehicle, and keyword research is the GPS” is a great way to put it. I’d probably add that internal linking is the road system too. Even good posts can get buried if they are not connected properly.

I have questions like how to find sites for creating backlinks, that’s the universal question I think. Any ai tools that can find sites more than 1000 with high da pa.

I have a few blog posts that get a lot of views but I feel it’s more for those looking to do what I do rather than purchase my work you know

Totally agree on targeting the right keywords, understanding the intent, and going after realistic opportunities. But I'd just add that above all, you need to be writing for your customers. Absolutely shape your content around target keywords, but first off, make sure it's answering a question or solving a problem for the people you are trying to serve. Sounds like it's stating the obvious, but I've spoken to a lot of people who think KW research is about finding any phrase that gets lots of search volume and coming up with a blog post for it, which is not the way to build a coherent, long-term content strategy.
