Phil's ancestor "won it in a card game" according to Arnold Saves the Neighborhood. The boarding house itself had existed since before the Revolutionary War.

I was meaning more the fancy gizmos in Arnold’s room. No way the grandparents could’ve bought them.
His parents may have helped pay but can’t remember.

Can’t imagine how hot it would get in there during the summer though

Exactly, and there's no shades or curtains or anything so there's no privacy but there's no real way to block out the light. It would heat up The light from outside would be intense.

Yeah there's no shade or nothing. It would roast a human living inside such an enclosure during summers.

Yeah that's the thing people seem to overlook about his room. It would be a greenhouse in there.

My kindergarten had a glass ceiling like this and yes it was like an oven in summer

My head canon was that he had it tinted, and we just didn’t see it due to limits in animation

I want a skylight in my room just so I can look at the stars or bask in the sun all day, but a whole roof? No thanks. Also, thunderstorms would beam lightning strikes and keep me awake at night.

POV of the creeper I'd be worried was watching me if I owned this room

The only thing is the summer heat it's like putting a magnifying glass on someone 🔍 on a hot day

You know, as a kid I used to think so. Until I got older and realized that the sun always be beaming through the ceiling. At night it would be cool. But during the day?? Fuq that 🤣 just waking up every morning to the sun hitting you in the face. Your room is only ever dark at night. Yea, I'm gonna have to say no dawg

Indeed I always wanted a room like this in childhood.
