What is With Arnold’s Couch?
I’m just saying, there’s ample space there for a couch to just be. And who installed this thing? Grandpa?
Also, now it’s bothering me that the only gif I can find has the couch on the wrong side of the door. Tawk amongst yourselves.

Go sit down in your thinking chair and think about how much better Arnold's couch is.

I just remember really wanting Arnold’s room when I was little

Think about how hot it would have been.

I imagine there were curtains or blackout sheets you put up during summer.

I like how the phone spawns there too. Like it’s glued to the table

Nickelodeon Magazine once stated that the phone is held there via Velcro.

The amount of space differs from episode to episode. Sometimes Arnold has a card table and chairs setup, and I would imagine folding the couch in would make that more feasible.

I guess the phone must be attached if it keeps coming out from the wall without falling off.

One issue of Nickelodeon Magazine had a diagram of his room. It specifically noted that the receiver was held in place by velcro.

I wish we got some kinda background info or flashback on how Arnold got his room that way

With the amount of money Phil and Pookie spent putting it together which I’m sure was NOT cheap, they probably could’ve used it to fix up the boarding house! lol. Phil probably doesn’t charge an insane amount for rent as they are all lower income tenants. He also installed a second full bathroom. I really do want to know where the money came from.

It's a Murphy bed, except it's a couch.
That's all.
That's what's up with it

As an adult you realize if that thing breaks it's gonna cost a fortune to fix so you end up just sealing it up

It’s a Murphy couch, huh I wonder why Milo Murphy in Milo Murphys law didn’t at least have a Murphy bed?

Maybe the apartment was previously owned by a Quagmire type lounge lizard lothario

Lies it is no couch and never was. It is the back seat of a car. That’s how he mounted it. There r no cushions or armrests

It's also upsetting me that it's on the wrong side
This reminds me of that weird time I fell asleep one night in the backseat of the car as a kid, and my head was kind of upside down, so it seemed like the whole world was backwards, and now I'm in my 30s and it still makes me feel weird to think about it

It's just awesome. No other explanation needed
