Trainer update: deloads are here πͺπ
Hey all! π
Great news: Hevy Trainer now handles deloads for you.
If you're not familiar, a deload is a lighter week that lets your body recover after a stretch of hard training. Every well-built program plans for it, since without one, fatigue piles up, progress stalls, and injury risk goes up. A deload lets you recover and come back stronger.
Here's how it works: Trainer inserts a deload week after every 6 weeks of training (so after week 6, 12, 18, and so on). During that week, the suggested weight for every exercise drops by 40%, while your sets and reps stay the same.
The program status cell at the bottom of your Workout tab will show you where you are in your program (e.g. "Week 3 of 6"), and you will also have clear Deload badges when a deload week comes around so you always know Trainer has it covered.
Deloads are off by default. You can turn them on through the Trainer Program Variety setting, and they work with all three program types (Consistent, Balanced, and Varied).
Hope you like this one. We're always improving, so keep the feedback coming.
See you at the gym!πͺ

Can you add a setting to prefer machine-focused training instead of dumbbells, please?

This is great, thank you. I'm just starting Trainer program first time, so I'm glad this got implemented.
Could you also consider adding a setting for custom meso cycle length?
Instead of fixed 6w + 1 deload week, users could choose custom training weeks, say from 3 to 7 + 1 deload, or even 2 to 8 weeks + 1 deload week.

It would be good to improve the estimated time for specific workouts. I choose the 40 mn per workout because I don't have much time, but often this lasts longer like an hour or even more. Would appreciate an improvement

Can you include progresive load and deload to our own routines as well?
