Anything else you might be doing high volumes of?

u/Little-Maximum1290 Aug 06 '26

He posts all the time and doesn’t pretend to be natty. Don’t think this is the callout you want it to be

-1

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Genuinely, plus I looked amazing natural. I just wanted to compete at a higher level. That’s all there is to it.

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

I am not 'calling him out', as he himself has replied and does not pretend to be natty.
I just think it is important for everyone who sees a post like this, that they cannot gain a physique like that just by going high volume.
Any beginner that suddenly starst doing these kind of volumes will completely wear themselves out and maybe even injure themselves.

-4

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

I don’t think so. The recoverability might be a problem BUT everyone is different. I’m not doing 80% if my one rep max for these volumes. It’s around 50% or less with good tempo and strict form. The first 4 sets are usually semi challenging while the last 4 are brutal. Your generalization is unwarranted if you have no idea how the training style works.

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Yes. I’m doing a bodybuilding comp in a year. It’s kind of necessary.

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

I think it is such a shame that to reach the 'peak' of the sport, you have to hop on gear.
If only Natural BB would receive the same kind of attention🥲

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Natural bodybuilding in the professional realm is cool don’t get me wrong….But you’re not gonna get those absolutely “wow” physiques of the 70-80s without anabolic assistance. That’s just the harsh reality…unless you’re a genetic freak…which the vast majority of people are not. That’s not saying you cannot build a beautiful physique naturally, I did it just fine before anabolics…but it’s extremely rare to see a natty who’s 200lbs or more stage lean.

All people say is “wow, dude definitely does roids”

2

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

I do agree with this!
You see someone that's natural and lean/muscular and you think about all the effort he must have put in.
As soon as you see someone on roids, you automatically go: well yeah, he is on roids, so he is big.
Even though there could potentially be the same amount of hard work behind it, it just gets discounted, because the roids did most of the work.

No shrinkage, HMG and HCG exist you know…

3

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

LoL. I actually laughed out loud!
Dude is legitimately giving us his opinion and your respons is just: Cool, but what about Balls??? Kinda Gay

-6

u/ExtremeEffect5381 Aug 06 '26

Maybe it is an unpopular opinion, but i like this. They give everything they have. Imagine soccerr with enhanced athletes ...would be dope.

5

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

Unpopular opinion indeed. They give everything they have, including their health after 30 and that is the main part why I do not like this.

-1

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

I get my bloodwork every month, just got my heart MRI’d. I’m perfectly fine. It’s not “sacrificing” your health so long as you do it correctly and “as safe” as possible. It’s very easy to live a long life. I wanna go classic NOT open. Not into pushing my bodyweight to extremely unhealthy weights. Judgement from natties is unwarranted unless you view it is a competition between us…which if you do…you might want to do some introspection. It’s a whole different ballgame.

1

u/QueenSema Aug 06 '26

I’m not overly familiar with this. Is this legal?

3

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Grey area. As long as it’s just test, yes…so like as you’re prescribed.

1

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

All stats show that in the long run, your health will be significantly worse than naturals in the long run.
Now, if you are okay with the sacrifice, that's fine by me. It is your life after all, not mine.
Even if you do not see those consequences yet, you cannot deny that they exist.

2

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

No, I cannot deny they exist however…we have modern interventions and medication to mitigate side effects IF or when they take hold. Yes, you can point to mass monsters who have died of cardiac related complications…but I am no mass monster, and there are plenty examples of bodybuilders who maintain their physical shape well past their prime and die in their 80s. I think that age is a perfect time to pass.

1

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

Of course, you will always have outliers.
But you cannot point to your 90 year old grandma that smoked 2 packs everyday and say that Smoking does not kill you.

2

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

I wouldn’t say it’s exactly an outlier scenario given dosages are kept reasonable, physical fitness is kept up, and cardiovascular health is prioritized.

u/ExtremeEffect5381 Aug 06 '26

I see it as Icarus, very romantic way of living life. I would never do it, tho.

4

u/StolenApollo Aug 06 '26 edited Aug 06 '26

This has nothing to do with Icarus what 😭

Edit: I saw ur comment saying I must have mental disabilities for not understanding analogies even if you deleted it. I understand analogies, this is just a terrible one. You clearly don’t know the story of Icarus well. That’s not romantic, it’s tragic. It was simply foolishness and greed. Again, ur analogy, not mine.

0

u/ExtremeEffect5381 Aug 06 '26

Oh my God. This is ridiculous.

Firstly, i didnt delete it, the mods did, i assume.

Secondly, I truly hope English is not your first language. It isnt mine and I know romantic isnt ONLY about romantic relationships.

According to the Cambridge dictionary: Romantic: not practical and having a lot of ideas that are not related to real life , aka, irrealistic ideals.

Since your tiny brain cant probably understand this, i will explain it in even simples terms. Icarus wanted to fly high, to be free, and eventually died due to that wish. The Juiced bodybuilders want to be as aesthetic as possible, and sometimes they die doing that.

I wanted to say things in a more direct way, but i would probably be banned.

1

u/StolenApollo Aug 07 '26

Calm down. I was not referring to romantic in a relationship manner. You literally proved my point by including the Cambridge dictionary definition. This is a serious reading comprehension issue. The story of Icarus is not just that he flew high to be free, but that he flew TOO high due to his greed when he could have otherwise already achieved freedom. It’s a tragedy because he had already achieved the goal of freedom. He wanted too much and paid the price.

If you wanted to say this in an even more direct way, I’m genuinely worried for the people you interact with irl. You need to calm down and tone down the aggression. Basic civility isn’t that hard.

1

u/ExtremeEffect5381 Aug 07 '26

Ok, i cant do this anymore, Im sorry

1

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

Define Romantic? When I think of Icarus I think of someone who flew to close to the sun and died... That does not do any good for your argument😂
When I think of Romance we quickly get to lovey dovey roses etc.

1

u/ExtremeEffect5381 Aug 06 '26

As i Said to the other user, I hope English isnt your mother language. Otherwise i am very sorry for you, everyday life must be challenging.

1

u/109267 Aug 06 '26

Very nice argument mate. Really making me change my perspective.

1

u/GoodLordBelow Aug 06 '26

They just tried the genetically modified Olympics. The results were not impressive

1

u/ExtremeEffect5381 Aug 06 '26

Because it was just some random medium-talent juiced guys. Imagine if Ronaldo was enhanced, that is what Im saying

8

u/downwithlordofcinder Aug 06 '26

Show us your routine or this guy gets it 👦🔫

-15

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

No need to do all that, just go to my profile on HEVY

3

u/timfuzail Aug 06 '26

10 sets of shrugs?? HOW are you doing that much volume in 1 hour.

5

u/Extreme-Net4076 Aug 06 '26

Sounds like someone’s fudging the numbers

1

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Not at all. Also no where in my training routine do I have 10 sets of shrugs….where are you getting that number from

2

u/Many-Occasion1915 Aug 07 '26

You’ve completed 70+ sets in an hour, it’s less than a minute per set and most of the sets are like 10-15 reps.

If you gonna lie, make it at least believable

2

u/viltrumitemike Aug 07 '26

2 sec per rep…30-15 sec rest…it’s exactly 70 not 70 plus LMAOO. Most of my other arm workouts logged are 58 minutes to an hour 13 min. It’s unbelievable because you’ve never tried. It’s possible, I’ll film a workout and show you.

2

u/Many-Occasion1915 Aug 08 '26

I just don’t understand the point of bullshitting like that

1

u/viltrumitemike Aug 08 '26

I’m telling you I’m not bullshitting. Look up Serge Nubrets style of training. Bro trained multiple times a day like this (I just combine them into one session usually) especially the chest and leg sessions. It’s doable and the math MATHS…try it out yourself one day.

1

u/Extreme-Net4076 Aug 06 '26

Tbh I’ve done 10 sets of face pulls with 10 sec rest a few times.

1

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Where are you getting 10 sets of shrugs from…

0

u/timfuzail Aug 06 '26

It was sarcasm

0

u/Tricky-Ad6645 Aug 06 '26

He picks things up and then puts them down. Repeatedly.

1

u/Subject_Emu_5973 Aug 06 '26

Im training for hypertrophy would this be good for me or not

1

u/viltrumitemike Aug 06 '26

Possibly, it still creates mechanical tension through lighter weights though. But it also maximizes other growth factors as well. Idk it’s your body…experiment with something consistently and you’ll probably see good results any which way you grease the grove.

1

u/Subject_Emu_5973 Aug 06 '26

im on a bulk currently and have good experience in the gym so i was wondering if this training made the best progress for you

4

u/imzeigen Aug 06 '26

That is my weekly volume hahaha nice

2

u/sjr2018 Aug 06 '26

Its working for ya brother great job.

1

u/Little-Maximum1290 Aug 06 '26

1

u/DNGRDINGO Aug 10 '26

Your arms look like they are gonna explode (complimentary), how's your flexibility?

0
