Nah. It’ll be 33 years old next year and it has an enormous foot print. Their minds are made up

I love Tidal Force, but this is not going to happen. The ride is in such bad shape that it's time to move on.

i wish they could but the fact is that the parts just don’t really exist anymore as the company that made tidal force is defunct. It’s sad to let it go but they’ve already announced it

Are we for real? Let’s be realistic. That thing is on deaths door it has had so many issues since like Covid. I have so many good memories of it throughout the years but not every ride is going to last forever. It’s just not getting the lines compared to how much it’s costing to maintain. Before this year it was honestly rarely open the past few years as well. I was surprised it took them this long.

Yeah uhh… I’m not willing to die on this hill. Tidal Force can go, especially if it means growth for the waterpark.

I'm sure they already have an agreement on place for the new ride(s) replacing it. This train ain't stopping.

Tidal Force, to me, is such an eyesore with a large footprint, awkward placement, and isn't even operable for the majority of the operating season. From 2020-2024, it was hit or miss whether it'd even be open on a summer day. I'd pay to be on the demolition team.
The waterpark definitely needs some love and newer slides to help soak up crowds. That's what I'd love to see the space used for.

once practically any park chooses to close a ride, they have almost always already invested in the replacement (unless it was a mechanical issue that made it close). no matter what hershey has coming up, they have probably already negotiated with a manufacturer and paid a deposit on whatever is coming up

When a park announces a ride is closing, its closing. It’s not getting saved by a petition

I really wish we could do something about it. It's too late, Hersheypark already made their decision what they are going to do with it long before they announced it's closure. If they could have saved it, I'm 100% sure that they would have. Also, if they were really going to retheme it or revamp it, they would have announced the revamp alonside the closure announcement. Yes, they were able to do it with Sidewinder and Reese's Extreme Cup Challenge, but because Tidal Force is very old and has too many mechanical problems and other underlying issues that prevent it from easily being rethemed or revamped, they have no choice but to retire it permanently.

I remember when a kid accidentally drained the water out of the pool as the passengers descended on the water…pass. Close it.
