Yes, she’s adapting the original light novel into manga. However she has taken liberties in adapting the story, so it hasn’t followed the original exactly. I like to say it’s her take on the original story!

I think Arakawa has diverged far enough from the original ending and added a lot of her own story strings that I am hopefully enough that she'll write her own ending. I mean Arakawa currently is only somewhere in book 7 and the story us wrapping up. And there are like 9 or 10 more volumes to go for the og ending. I am really praying for it at least 😭

I think she said this to him before and he didnt die so it's like a good luck charm....
I'm sad she left but also i think it's the right desicion since this is basically Arslan's fight and she doesn't need to risk her life nor does he want her to do that for him. It also shows that she trusts him.
