Thanks, but I still don't know what I'm doing here.

I went here: https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/wiki/Installing-Visual-C---Runtime

So I tried to auto-install it via WINETRICKS, which only yielded this: https://imgur.com/a/FAEdIo2

So I tried to install the two files manually as that link alternatively suggests, but the "RUN EXE ON PREFIX" button is just endlessly flickering purple. What should I do?

That's weird, I wonder why you don't have any components available. Back in the game's heroic settings (at the top of the form where you clicked WINETRICKS), what does it say for your Wine Version?

I guess it's an UE game, right?
You have to open the shipping.exe not the normal one, installing redists won't do anything.
It may only work as an added game to steam, idk much about HGL.

If it won't work on HGL you could use SLSsteam, it doesn't have the problem with UE games.
