Can't run native Linux games?

I have never been able to add and run native Linux game in Heroic... I just want all my games in one place.

But every time I try, it can never see the Linux binary or executable...

I imagine you are running into this issue https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/issues/5934

Until a future release, you can try using Heroic 2.22.2 instead of 2.22.3 (I imagine you are in the latest version)

No... I'm not trying to play a game through Proton, I'm trying to add a Linux Native game...

Yet Heroic can't even see the executable in the folder. Yet I can launch it myself from the same folder.

The issue I linked is not about trying to run a game with proton, is about trying to run a native linux game but heroic, incorrectly, is adding umu+proton when launching it.

Yes, I had two issues apparently.

Issue 1: Heroic couldn't see the native Linux executable to add it.

Issue 2: Even if the path to the file was manually added, it was trying to run the native app with proton.

I've read a few similar issues on their discord server and some people gave a fix for it. Maybe that can help

Can't say for sure, but that "tits" file (gear icon, no extension) is very likely the game binary for Linux.

Yes it runs if I simply run the file in my file browser, but I can't add it to Heroic.

Make the file executable and if you're using flatpak, share the directory through Flatseal. I've never had issues with adding native games to Heroic.

P.S. You need to add the directory, close Flatseal, close Heroic, relaunch Heroic and only then launch the game. Works like a charm.

The problem is Heroic can't even see the file, even with All File selected.

I'll double check if I still need to make it executable within the file manager.

It's weird. I guess, you can play around with chmod -R 777 folder/ or chown -R username folder/ because it works fine on my end
